In remembrance of the Partition of Bengal and its tragic consequences, Adamas University presents an insightful session to honour the human stories of Partition, reflect on its lessons and deepen our understanding of this significant chapter in history. Organised by the Office of Student Affairs, Adamas University, the event will be chaired by Professor (Dr.) Samit Ray, Hon’ble Chancellor, Adamas University, with Professor Suranjan Das, Vice Chancellor, Adamas University, and Prof. Smritikumar Sarkar, Member of the Indian Council of Historical Research and Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Burdwan, as panellists. The session will be held on 14th August 2026 from 12:30 PM onwards at the Rabindranath Tagore Auditorium, AU1. An exhibition will also be held at the International Lounge, AU1. Join us as we commemorate this significant chapter, remember its human stories and reflect on the lessons that continue to shape our understanding of history.

As higher education continues to align with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, reimagining teaching methodologies has become increasingly important. To contribute to this evolving conversation, the Department of Biological Sciences, School of Life Science and Biotechnology, Adamas University, in collaboration with the Microbiologists Society, India, is organizing a one-day webinar on "NEP 2020-based Approaches to Teaching Microbiology at Undergraduate and Postgraduate Levels."
The webinar will bring together experienced academicians and educators to discuss innovative pedagogical approaches, curriculum alignment and effective teaching practices in Microbiology. Scheduled for 17th July 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Zoom, the session is open to faculty members, academic administrators, researchers and students. All registered participants will receive an e-certificate.
