What happens when artificial intelligence enters the world of human imagination?
The Department of English & Literary Studies, Brainware University, hosted the 5th International Conference on Algorithmic Imagination: Literary and Cultural Studies in the Age of AI, bringing together perspectives on the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence, literature, culture, creativity, and critical thought.
The conference created a dynamic academic platform to explore how AI is reshaping storytelling, interpretation, cultural expression, authorship, and the ways we understand human creativity. It encouraged meaningful conversations around the opportunities, questions, and challenges emerging at the intersection of technology and the humanities.
Organised in collaboration with Literary Voice: A Peer Reviewed Journal of English Studies (Web of Science ESCI Indexed), the conference strengthened the space for research, interdisciplinary dialogue, and contemporary literary scholarship.
Through such intellectually engaging initiatives, Brainware University continues to connect the humanities with emerging technologies, encouraging scholars and students to question the present, imagine the future, and rethink what creativity means in the age of AI.

A photograph captures more than a frame - it preserves emotion, perspective, memory and art. On the occasion of World Photography Day, the Department of Multimedia, Brainware University, in association with IQAC, presents ‘PHOTO TALK 2026’ - an engaging celebration of photography, creativity and visual storytelling.
Featuring Rajarshi Banerji, Wildlife Photographer & Nikon India Brand Creator, and Jayanta Shaw, Consultant Photographer, the session explores wildlife photography, visual storytelling, creative composition, and the art of capturing powerful moments through the lens. A platform to learn, explore, and see creatively.
With the theme “We Turn Clicks into Stories and Art,” Photo Talk 2026 goes beyond photography as a craft, encouraging participants to see the world through a creative lens and understand how a single frame can capture perspectives, express emotions and inspire narratives.

FROM JHARGRAM TO THE DOORSTEP OF PRESIDENTIAL HONOUR

Some dreams begin quietly.

In a young heart from Jhargram, Abhijit Mishra carried a dream that was bigger than his circumstances. He chose to believe that with the right skills, determination and an opportunity, he could build a future of his own.

In January 2023, Abhijit completed the Front Office Associate course under the DDU-GKY programme at Brainware University.

That was not the end of his journey.
It was the beginning.

He stepped into the hospitality industry and began his professional journey at Hyatt Regency Kolkata. With every shift, every challenge and every lesson, he kept moving forward.

Years of dedication and professional excellence later, his journey took him to Radisson Hotel, Delhi, where he continues to shine.

And today, that journey has reached a moment of extraordinary pride.

Abhijit Mishra has been nominated for the prestigious Presidential Felicitation — and he is the ONLY nominee from West Bengal to receive this exceptional honour.
