ICAR-IARI Jharkhand proudly celebrated its 12th Foundation Day. The programme was graced virtually by Dr. M. L. Jat, Director General, ICAR & Secretary, DARE, while Dr. D. K. Yadava, DDG (Crop Science), ICAR, attended as the Guest of Honour. Dr. CH. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-IARI, Dr. C. Vishwanathan Chinnuswamy Joint Director (Research), ICAR-IARI also graced the occasion. The celebration marked twelve years of dedicated service in advancing agricultural research, education, innovation, and technology dissemination for the sustainable development of Eastern India.

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day 2026, the NSS Unit of ICAR-IARI, Jharkhand organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 15 June 2026.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from Students, scientists, Administrative and all the staff of IARI Jharkhand, with around 60 voluntary donors contributing to this noble cause. Blood collection was conducted by the medical team from Arogyam Multispeciality Hospital, Hazaribagh.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Deepak Kumar Gupta (NSS Chairman) with support from Dr. Vandana, Dr. Akash, and Dr. Archana. Dr. S. K. Mahanta, Campus In-Charge & Principal Scientist, appreciated the donors for their selfless contribution towards saving lives.

Under the nationwide "Khet Bachao Abhiyaan"(1-30th June 2026), ICAR-IARI Jharkhand organized a Farmer Awareness and Demonstration Programme on biofertilizers, green manuring, and soil health management at Garwa Village, Padma Block, Hazaribagh on 17th June,2026.

Scientists sensitized farmers on the benefits of balanced fertilizer use, Integrated Nutrient Management (INM), biofertilizers, green manuring with dhaincha, and preparation of Jeevamrit and Ghan Jeevamrit. Farmers were also guided on quality seed selection, seed treatment, and livestock health management.
