Glocal University Celebrated 7th International Yoga Day
The 7th International Yoga Day was celebrated at The Glocal University on Monday, June 21, 2021.In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year International Yoga Day was celebrated on digital media platforms and there were no mass gatherings at the campus. Keeping this year's theme for the yoga day ‘Yoga for Wellness’, department of students welfare organized a webinar for students , staff and faculty on :Yoga for Wellness at 3 pm on June 21,2021 .
The keynote speaker of the webinar was the distinguished speaker -Dr. (Prof.) Satish Kumar Sharma (Pro- Vice Chancellor , Glocal University) . In the workshop Prof. Sharma spoke about the importance of adopting yoga as a part of daily activities to encourage physical and mental well being . The webinar was insightful and attended both national and international students . The webinar was attended by around 300 students at 3:00pm today.
The workshop was hosted by by Ms. Iqra Rahat , Assistant Professor of Glocal School of Pharmacy and Member of DSW Department and was co-ordinated by Ms. Sameera , Assistant Professor of Glocal School of Pharmacy and Member of DSW Department and Mr. Waseem, Faculty Member of English Department and DSW Department and Head of Training and Placement Centre of Glocal University. The webinar was attended by around 300 students at 3:00pm today.
