Happy to inform you all again as a coordinator that, Team ASME Mechanical Engineering at KLS GIT had a Hat-trick win with 3 National Prizes, at ASME EFx VCE, Hyderabad conducted today 23/11/24..
Team won 1st and 2nd prizes worth $950 (Dollars) at the National level ASME Student Design . Mr. Shubhankar C. won the 2nd prize in the ASME Elevator Pitch competition. Thanks to Management, Principal and all HODs for the support and encouragement.

Happy to host as coordinator, ENGINEERS DAY contest @ Mechanical Engineering, KLS GIT .. *BASIC INTERDISCIPLINARY DESIGN CONTEST* by *CIDI* on Robotic Arm Design competition using DASSAULT SYSTEMES *3DEXPERIENCE CATIA software, on 14/9/24 in view of ENGINEERS DAY* 2024.. *Mr. Praveen Gubbi* , Head Operational Excellence, SFS Private limited was the *Chief Guest.* More than *40+* students from *various disciplines* like Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil, Architecture, MCA, M.Tech competed for the contest. The event was well executed by SPOCS of various departments, CIDI SPOC Prof. S P Avadhani, under the able guidance of CIDI coordinator Dr. H B Kulkarni and Principal GIT. Thanks to Management, Principal, all Dean's and HODs for all the support and motivation. 👍🏻

The Certification course in Additive Manufacturing was conducted from 26 to 30 Aug 2024. Students from , & departments registered for the course.

We are please seed to announce the successful completion of our "Certification course in Additive Manufacturing ( )”, which took place from 26 to 30 Aug 2024 at the Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology.

The five days were filled with enthusiasm and passion as participants were:
✔️ Introduced to fundamentals of 3D printing and scanning.
✔️ Expert lecture from 3D printing expert - Mr Ajinkya M
✔️ Industrial visits to 3D printing and Reverse engineering services - Express 3D and Sevak Engineers.
✔️ Hands-on experience on 3D scanner and 3D printer and
✔️ The best part of the course was the real-time problem solving wherein problem statements were given & the students designed and 3D printed practical products including Pen cm card holder, USB/SD/visiting card holder, Smartphone holder, Car trash holder, Bottle holder etc.

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology proudly opened the Centre for Interdisciplinary Design and Innovation ( ) in collaboration with Dassault Systèmes. The inauguration was graced by Mr. Sudarshan Mogasale, CEO of Dassault Systèmes Solutions Lab, Mr. Pradosh Mohanty, Plant Head of Tata Motors, Dharwad, and Shri Anant Mandgi, President of Karnatak Law Society.

Key dignitaries from KLS, including Shri Deepak Kulkarni, Shri Ram Bhandare, Shri S. V. Ganachari, Shri V. G. Kulkarni, Shri Rajendra Belgaumkar, Shri Pramod Kathavi, and others, attended the event.

Dr. M. S. Patil, Principal of KLS GIT, highlighted the institute's Centres of Excellence and introduced a two-year plan for . "Team Sarathi," a mentorship group for CIDI trainees, was launched.

Dr. H. B. Kulkarni, HOD of Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. Lokmanya Chickmath, Professor of Aeronautical Engineering, showcased certification courses and student projects using Dassault Systemes software.

Industry representatives from Tata Motors, AEQUS, Polyhydron, Orion Hydraulics, SF Group, and KPTCL / ESCOM attended, along with GIT Alumni at Dassault Systemes.

Chief Guest Mr. Sudarshan Mogasale and Guest of Honour Mr. Pradosh Mohanty emphasized CIDI’s collaborative potential, multidisciplinary projects, and AI in CAD developments.

Shri Anant Mandgi highlighted CIDI's uniqueness and potential benefits in engineering and scientific applications. Prof. Satish Hukkeri delivered the vote of thanks.
