NIST University was honoured to host the “Vande Mataram” Naval Band Concert, organised by INS Chilika as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The Commanding Officer (CO), INS Chilika, graced the event along with Dr. P. Rajesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor I/C, NIST University as Chief Guest, whose presence added significance to this memorable celebration. The event brought together the spirit of patriotism, music, and pride in the nation, as the Indian Navy’s Military Band delivered a powerful and captivating performance featuring a collection of patriotic melodies that resonated with the audience. The event also offered an insightful glimpse into the valour, service, and maritime strength of the Indian Navy, with INS Chilika showcasing various types of naval ships and sharing glimpses of the Navy’s operations and capabilities. The programme was attended by senior Indian Navy officials, retired naval veterans, distinguished guests, faculty members, staff, and students. Students from several schools also visited the NIST campus and enthusiastically participated in the celebrations, enjoying the spectacular musical performance and learning more about the Indian Navy. Their excitement and enthusiasm added a special vibrancy to the occasion. The concert served as a meaningful reminder of the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of our armed forces and inspired the younger generation to embrace the values of patriotism, discipline, and service to the nation. The evening concluded on a proud and inspiring note, leaving the audience with unforgettable memories and a renewed sense of “Nation First.”
