The Department of Chemistry, NIST University organized an academic and research exposure visit to the IISER Berhampur. and students participated in the visit, accompanied by Dr. Duryodhan Sahu, HoD of Chemistry, Dr. Jagannath Panda, and Dr. Asish Kumar Mohapatra. During the visit, Prof. Malaya Rana, HoD, Chemical Sciences, IISER Berhampur, along with his team, extended a warm welcome to the students and faculty members. He provided an insightful overview of the Department of Chemical Sciences, its academic framework, and the wide range of research activities undertaken by the faculty. He also emphasized potential avenues for collaborative research, internships, and academic exchange between IISER Berhampur and NIST University. The visiting students were given access to advanced research infrastructure and sophisticated instrumentation, including NMR, XRD, HRTEM, STM, MRI research facilities, and state-of-the-art synthesis laboratories. The exposure visit offered a meaningful hands-on learning experience and helped gain deeper insights into the research and innovation ecosystem at IISER Berhampur.
