Rationalization and scientific temper yet to percolate to the masses. We send Chandrayaan satellite and rover to land on the Moon but still declare an eclipse a holiday and not to venture out or eat until it's over! This is India that is expected to lead Industry 4.0

In the ongoing battle for saffronisation, Kejriwal steals a march by asking for putting pictures of Hindu idols to be printed on currency notes putting BJP in a fix :)

Mammi - A veritable 360 deg mother. A working lady walking to work to save money for education for her children, the wife of an ideal communist whom she loved and married, got 10 or so daughters of the family married off to highly eligible bachelors, suffered the pangs of Indira Gandhi emergency when my Bapa was politically incarcerated and during those times built a house whose rented all our education. After voluntary retirement a founder of NIST staying full nights without sleep as she built 12 lakh sq ft of building and then put her shoulders to build a Tribal School Diganta housing 500 poorest of the poor children.

She led the women's movement in Rourkela for women rights with Mrs Mukherjee and her best friends Krishna and Basanti.

We inherited her academic genes and also cooked when four comrades came calling at 10pm.

Isn't that a 360 all complete - a strong willed Woman of determination and self sacrifice. Both of her children and the entire clan of Swain ( she was the last of the six sisters) and Mudali salute her.

From a heart broken son - who inherited his name Sangram (eternal struggle) and Iti ( the last of the children) from their parents Surendra Mudali and Janaki Mudali.

Till her death she was the Chairman of S J Charitable Trust and a Promoter of Diganta.
