Ms. Kashish Methwani trades her crown for the Navy blue beret of , winning the President’s Gold Medal at Officers Training Academy, Chennai.
“I didn’t want life to be an either/or. I wanted to be Miss India, a scientist, and an officer — and I chose the Army because it lets me live all of it with purpose.”
True to her words, the former Miss International India 2023 has now become Lieutenant Kashish Methwani, the first Miss India titleholder to be commissioned into the Indian Army. Her path has always defied limits: from NCC Best Cadet of India at the Republic Day Camp, to a national-level pistol shooter, dancer, and NGO founder; from topping her MSc in Neuroscience at IISc to turning down a PhD offer at Harvard.
Each step led her here — to the Olive Green. Today, she wears the uniform with pride, carrying forward not just her many talents but a spirit of discipline, courage, and service.
Congratulations, Lt Kashish. May you continue to inspire the nation with your courage, commitment, and grace.
