The College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University (NAU), Bharuch, officially commenced its Induction Cum Foundation Course, Deeksharambh 2026-27, with an Inaugural Programme held at the RAWE Hall on 8th September, 2026.
The session began with a warm Welcome Address by Dr. S. G. Patel (Academic Incharge), setting a positive tone for the incoming batch. This was followed by a comprehensive Introduction of HoDs, faculty members, and the newly admitted students, fostering an immediate sense of community.
To help the freshers transition smoothly into college life, key institutional briefings were delivered by the campus leadership:
* Dr. D. M. Pathak (SRC Chairman) introduced the Student Representative Council (SRC).
* Dr. S. G. Patel (Academic In-Charge) detailed the essential academic rules and regulations.
* Dr. K. N. Chaudhary (Head Rector) outlined the hostel rules and regulations.
* Dr. T. U. Patel (Associate Professor) highlighted the notable achievements of the Bharuch campus and the University.
The ceremony concluded with inspiring addresses from the senior administration. Dr. A. D. Raj (Principal, Polytechnic in Agriculture, Bharuch) and Dr. S.R. Patel (Head, GPB Department) offered special remarks, encouraging the students to make the most of their academic journey.
In his presidential remarks, Dr. D. D. Patel (Principal, College of Agriculture, NAU, Bharuch) formally welcomed the batch and shared his vision for their professional and personal growth.
The inaugural event drew to a successful close with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. P. D. Akabari (Assistant Professor & Assistant Academic Incharge).

Congratulations to Mr. Dhruv Patel

We are delighted to announce that Mr. Dhruv Patel, an M.Sc. graduate student under the guidance of Dr. Suresh M. Bambhaneeya, Assistant Professor, Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Bharuch, has successfully qualified the UGC NET in Environmental Science, making him eligible for Assistant Professor positions and for pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Science.

This remarkable achievement is a matter of great pride for Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari, and reflects his academic excellence, commitment, perseverance, and dedication.

🌱 Making Our Campus Cleaner & Greener

The Department of Agronomy, along with our enthusiastic students and dedicated staff, successfully organized Parthenium Awareness Week from August 16th to 22nd, 2026 to target and eradicate the invasive Parthenium w**d (Congress grass) surrounding our college farm and campus

We were deeply inspired by the message and guidance of our Hon'ble Vice Chancellor - Navsari Agricultural University, Dr. R. M. Naik. Following his vision, our university community worked together to:
🔍 Identify and control Parthenium before seed formation.
🌾 Protect our agricultural fields and crop productivity.
💚 Promote a healthy, sustainable environment and prevent health hazards.

Dr. Mayur Chavda, Assistant Professor and Dr. K.N. Rana, Assistant Professor who led to mapped out and cleaned up the affected areas around the college campus and farm.
Principal, Polytechnic in Agriculture Dr. A.D. Raj addressed students and Senior Faculty Member Dr. Tushar Patel, Associate Professor perfectly guided students on how this w**d threatens biodiversity, livestock, and human health.
Head, Regional Cotton Research and his team also adjoined us for this campaign.
Mass Movement: Students, faculty, and college staff rolled out and participated wholeheartedly.

🌱 Empowering Educators for a Greener Tomorrow🌱

We are thrilled to share that a 2-day district-level training on Eco Club School Activities was successfully organized on August 17–18, 2026.
This wonderful initiative was held by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in close coordination with our college.
We were honored to have the event graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. D. D. Patel (Principal, College of Agriculture, Bharuch), Mrs. Rekhaben R. Senjaliya (Principal, DIET Bharuch), and special guest Mr. Prabhubhai Patel, a National Award-winning teacher.
A total of 61 enthusiastic teachers from all across Bharuch district participated in the training. Our very own faculty members—Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Dr. Kuldeepsinh Rana, and Dr. M. H. Chavda—served as subject experts, delivering insightful lectures on how to drive impactful environmental activities in schools.
The participating teachers also took a guided tour of our college departments. It was an absolute pleasure hosting them and hearing their positive feedback about our ongoing campus and departmental activities. 🌍✨

We are thrilled to share that our campus successfully hosted an Addiction-Free Awareness and National Pledge Programme on August 20, 2026
This vital event was organized as part of the massive 10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign by the Medical Wing, Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation, represented by the Brahma Kumaris Centre (Anubhutidham, Zadeshwar, Bharuch) through BK Anitaben.
During the event, our students and staff were sensitized to the harmful effects of substance abuse. Together, we took a powerful pledge to adopt a healthy, value-based, and addiction-free lifestyle.
A huge thank you to our Principal, Dr. D.D. Patel, and the organizers for leading this initiative toward building an Addiction-Free, Healthy, and VIKSIT BHARAT 🇮🇳💪
