The AITM IoT Club, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, conducted "Arduino 101" hands-on workshop on 16 September 2026 for the first-year students as the inaugural event.
The workshop was designed as a peer-learning session, with final-year ECE students leading sessions and guiding first-year participants through their first experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems. Originally planned for a single day, the overwhelming response prompted the club to extend it to two days to accommodate demand.
The peer-led format proved particularly effective, with first-year students finding it easier to engage, ask questions, and learn from seniors who had recently been in their shoes. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing interest in joining the IoT Club activities and continuing with advanced workshops.
