Dr. Cheeday Satyanarayana a paediatrican who served and saved lacks of sick children in West Godavari, East Godavari and Krishna Districts for over four decades, developed interest in promotion of education and got a society registered and promoted "Peoples' Education Society" in the year 1991. Junior College and Dr. C.S.N. English Medium School were started at Rest House Road in the campus of Dr.

Cheeday Satyanarayana. In the year 1994 Dr. C.S.N. Degree College was started in the same premises. The college grew strength to strength, year after year and won the appreciation of the public and students. In the year 2000 the college was upgraded as post graduate college and named as Dr. C.S.N. College. In succession M.Sc., Computer Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Electronics, Physics, Orgranic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, M.A. English, M.A. Social Work, MCA, M.B.A. and B. Pharmacy were started. Land was acquired near Industrial Estate which was earmarked for college purpose in municipal master plan and buildings were constructed, consisting of 3 blocks with 4 floors. Presently the college is functioning with strength of 1200 Degree and 500 P.G. students on rolls.
