Seminar on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Begins!

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Computing, in collaboration with the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Graphic Era Hill University, Bhimtal, inaugurated a three-day seminar on “Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems in Curriculum Design: A Multidisciplinary Approach with Special Reference to Vedic Mathematics” on 23 June, 2026.

Addressing the inaugural session, the Director, Bhimtal Campus emphasized the importance of making the present generation aware of India’s rich knowledge heritage and integrating it meaningfully into the curriculum in alignment with NEP 2020.

Expert talks by Dr. Arun Pratap Singh Rathod and Dr. Manoj Kumar Tripathi highlighted the multidisciplinary nature of IKS and its relevance in curriculum design, interdisciplinary learning, and value-based education. The seminar featured insightful discussions and interactive Q&A segments.

Participants expressed great enthusiasm and are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming sessions scheduled ahead.

𝟭𝟮𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝗴𝗮 | 𝟮𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The serene morning at Graphic Era Hill University, Bhimtal Campus witnessed a beautiful celebration of mindfulness, wellness, and togetherness on the 12th International Day of Yoga. Surrounded by nature’s calm and positive energy, students, faculty, and staff came together to experience the transformative power of yoga.

In alignment with this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” the celebration was enriched by the esteemed presence and active participation of Prof. (Dr.) Narpinder Singh, Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, and Director, Bhimtal Campus, whose encouraging words inspired participants to embrace yoga as a lifelong practice for maintaining balance, harmony, and holistic well-being.

The celebration was student-driven, with campus students taking the lead in demonstrating various yoga practices and postures. With every mindful breath and every yoga posture, participants experienced a sense of blossoming of the mind and soul, where inner peace unfolded, thoughts became clearer, and the spirit found a deeper connection with themselves and the world around.

FutureX 3.0 came to a fitting close in a spectacular celebration of bold ideas, unwavering commitment, and the inspiring journey of every participant. From powerful student voices and exceptional presentations to star recognitions and heartfelt appreciation for our volunteers, every moment reflected the spirit of a generation ready to shape tomorrow!

Day 2 of Future X 3.0 began with the Wellness 360° experience, which featured invigorating Zumba and Yoga sessions that energized participants for a day of learning and adventure. A refreshing trip to the scenic Naukuchiyatal was followed by exciting activities, including a thrilling Treasure Hunt, talent showcases, and engineering challenges like Bridge Making and Water-Powered Car design. Insightful sessions on AI, Cyber Security, Web Development, Personal Hygiene, GD & Interviews, and Digital Profile Preparation equipped participants with future-ready skills. The day concluded with a vibrant Open Mic, that echoed the energy and enthusiasm of Future X 3.0.
