AI-Driven Journalism Session Empowers Students with Future-Ready Skills! 🌟

Today, our department hosted an insightful Student Awareness Program featuring the dynamic team from Mojo – India’s first AI-powered SaaS newsroom.

The event began with a warm welcome by Dr. Avinash Bajpai, HOD, Media Management Department, who emphasized how rapidly evolving technologies are reshaping modern journalism and why students must stay future-ready.

We were honored to have Shree Gaurav Sharma, Director of Mojo India Network – State News AI Channel, along with Shri Amit Shrivastava (VP–Operations) and team members Aditya, Reshal, and Vineet, our proud MCU alumni. They shared powerful insights on:

• Tech-enabled reporting
• Data-driven storytelling
• Audience-led publishing
• AI-powered algorithms that identify and amplify trending news
Students learned how global newsrooms today rely on AI for writing, editing, AV production, and investigative reporting. The speakers also highlighted the rising importance of news monetization, where AI tools help optimize audience engagement and digital revenue.

One of the most eye-opening discussions was on algorithm-driven news placement—how digital platforms determine which stories surface based on audience behavior and data analytics.

The team also encouraged students to adopt a “phygital approach”, combining real-world reporting with strong digital expertise. Mojo’s hands-on demonstration on mobile journalism and AI tools gave students practical exposure to the future of content creation.

The session concluded with a powerful message:
👉 An AI-enabled newsroom is not the future—it is the present.
👉 And today’s journalism students must be ready for it.

A big thank you to Team Mojo for inspiring our students with knowledge, vision, and real-world industry experience! 🙌📱📰
