Celebrating a Decade of Excellence: IIIT Bhopal’s 10th Foundation Day 🌟

Decade milestones are a time to look back with pride and look forward with vision. Today, the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhopal proudly celebrated its 10th Foundation Day.

This year’s celebration centered around a powerful and timely theme: “Indian Knowledge Systems and Innovation for Social Equity and Sustainable Development.” From the auspicious lighting of the lamp to recognizing student achievements with certificates, the energy in the room reflected our institution's growth and academic dedication.

Key Highlights of the Event:

• Expert Lecture on IKS: We were honored to have Chief Guest Prof. Sadanand Sapre (Social Worker and Former Professor, MANIT, Bhopal) delivered an enlightening expert lecture. In his address, Prof. Sapre strongly emphasized the vital need to simplify and communicate the principles of the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) so they can easily reach and benefit every section of society.

• Interactive IKS Quiz: Engaging the audience in an intellectual test of heritage, the event featured a lively MCQ session on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). Participants tested their understanding of foundational concepts, tackling intriguing questions regarding traditional Pramanas in Indian philosophy.

• Visioning the Future: Another core highlight was the interactive "My Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047" vision board. Faculty, guests, and students actively contributed their innovative ideas for building an inclusive, developed, and sustainable nation.

Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal is delighted to host Prof. Soumyajit Dey, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, for an insightful and engaging session on High Performance Computing and Related Applications, organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE).

As part of the visit, a special session on “GPU Enabled Computing for AI and Related Applications” was conducted on 29th May for Master’s students and research scholars. The session offered valuable insights into modern GPU computing paradigms, AI-driven applications, and emerging research opportunities under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM).

The talk sparked enthusiastic discussions among students and faculty members, making it a highly enriching academic experience and inspiring young researchers to explore advanced computing and interdisciplinary research domains.

📍 He was invited as Chief Guest at the ANRF-sponsored workshop on “AI and IoT-Enabled Signal Processing for Connected Healthcare Systems” held at Indian Institute of Information Technology Sonepat, where he shared his thoughts on emerging technologies and their transformative role in healthcare systems.

📍 He also addressed participants at the inaugural ceremony of Ideathon 2K26 organized by Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Bhopal, motivating young innovators through his insightful talk on leadership, innovation, and technology-driven problem solving.

On Friday, 24 April, the visit to the permanent campus site of Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal was a truly inspiring reminder that every great institution is built upon vision, ambition, and the courage to imagine beyond the present.

Accompanied by Dr. Ashish Parihar Sir and our social media team, we had the privilege of standing on the very land that will soon rise as a world-class hub of innovation, learning, and technological excellence. Though the surroundings remain calm today, the promise of tomorrow is unmistakably alive in every corner of this space.

What may appear as open land today is, in reality, the foundation of future laboratories, modern classrooms, vibrant corridors, and groundbreaking ideas that will shape the next generation of India’s technological leaders.
