NFSU BHOPAL Campus and the Indian Council of Medical Research – National Institute for Research in Environmental Health (hashtag -NIREH), Bhopal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to promote academic and research collaboration. The MoU was signed at ICMR-NIREH by Prof. Satish Kumar, Campus Director of NFSU Bhopal, and Dr. Rajnarayan Tiwari, Director of ICMR-NIREH.
The agreement aims to enhance the joint research initiatives, faculty exchanges, co-hosting of academic events, and the sharing of knowledge and resources in areas of mutual interest—particularly in the field of toxicology.
Prof. Satish Kumar expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that there is immense scope for faculty, researchers, and students from both institutions to collaborate on impactful scientific challenges. He underscored the value of bridging forensic science and environmental health through innovative joint efforts.
Dr. Rajnarayan Tiwari highlighted toxicology as a key area for collaboration and stressed the importance of effectively implementing the MoU for the benefit of all. He emphasized that the MoU marks a significant milestone for both NFSU and ICMR-NIREH.

We are pleased to announce that Ms. Oshin Saxena, a first-year M.Sc. Forensic Science student, has co-authored her first book, "Satyadarshi - The Truth Demands to be Investigated," alongside Dr. Harsh Sharma (Retd. Director, SFSL, MP). The book was officially released at the "All India Forensic Science Summit 2025" held on 14th–15th April 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi (India).
The esteemed Dr. J.M. Vyas Sir (Padma Shri Awardee), Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of NFSU, unveiled the book during the event.
We take immense pride in this remarkable accomplishment and extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Saxena for achieving this significant milestone.

एनएफएसयू, गांधीनगर में आयोजित अन्तर्परिसरीय हिंदी-पखवाड़ा के अंतिम चरण के अंतर्गत आयोजित निबंध प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त करने पर सुश्री मनीषा रावत (एमएससी, चतुर्थ सेमेस्टर, फॉरेंसिक साइंस) को अखिल भारतीय फोरेंसिक विज्ञान सम्मेलन- 2025 के दौरान माननीय गृह मंत्री श्री अमित शाह जी के कर-कमलों द्वारा सम्मानित किया गया। वहीं आशुभाषण प्रतियोगिता में द्वितीय स्थान प्राप्त करने पर डॉ. राजेन्द्र प्रसाद पवार (सहायक प्राध्यापक) को पद्मश्री से सम्मानित माननीय कुलपति महोदय डॉ. जे. एम. व्यास जी द्वारा सम्मानित किया गया।

The valedictory function of the 7-day training program on "Identification of Drugs of Abuse using Advanced Instrumental Techniques" was a resounding success. The event was inaugurated with a welcome address by Dr. Rajesh Singh Yadav (Dean, Academics), setting the tone for an insightful session. Dr. Jyotsna Jain, Head of the Department of Psychiatry at BMHRC Bhopal (M.P.), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and elaborated on the negative impacts of drug abuse, along with its management, treatment, and prevention. Group Captain Vivek Dubey (OSD, Administration) emphasized the importance of such training programs to effectively tackle the rising issue of drugs of abuse. Then, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Pawar provided a comprehensive summary of this training, highlighting the expert lectures, key techniques and hands on learnings. A quiz was also conducted to assess the participants' knowledge, with winners receiving prizes. All participants, who were forensic science students from IEHE, Bhopal and SAM Global University, Bhopal (M.P.), were awarded certificates for their active participation.
The event was hosted by Dr. Snehal Holey and concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Meena Laxmi, making the function a memorable and enriching experience.
