As India’s premier institution working on correctional services and prison reform, RRU brings specialised expertise, research-driven training modules, and skill development programs to support the modernisation of correctional systems.

In line with this mandate, Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) today signed an MoU and Affiliation Accreditation with the Madhya Pradesh Department of Jail & Correctional Services at the Jail Headquarters, Bhopal.

The agreement was formalised in the presence of the Director General of Prisons, MP, along with IG, DIG, and Superintendents of various prisons, and senior representatives from RRU.

Reflecting this collaboration in action, 30 correctional personnel recently completed the first cohort of Project PRAHARI at the Regional Jail Management & Research Institute, Bhopal. This partnership will enable evidence-based prison reform, capacity building for correctional personnel, and the integration of contemporary criminal justice practices.

Our esteemed faculty, TCRO Dr. Harsh*ta Jain took an engaging session on Cyber Security Awareness, Digital Safety & Career Opportunities in Cyber Security with engineering students of UIT-RGPV during DIKSHARAMBH 2026. 💻⚡

This wasn't your typical "use strong passwords" talk. The session went beyond passwords and antivirus — into real-world cyber threats, digital footprints, social engineering, online scams, AI-generated content, cyber ethics, and the growing role of cybersecurity across every engineering discipline.

What made it special? The interaction. 🙌
Questions. Discussions. Real-life examples. Students actively
challenging their own assumptions about being "safe" online.

🔒 Strengthening Correctional Reforms in Madhya Pradesh! 🇮🇳

The PRAHARI Training — a Correctional Programme Orientation — was graced by Dr. Varun Kapoor, IPS, Director General of Prisons, Madhya Pradesh, along with DIG (Jail HQ), Jail Superintendent, Central Jail Bhopal, and Incharge, Regional Jail Management & Research Institute.

RRU, Bhopal Director Dr. Rakesh Singh Kunwar and faculty members coordinated and supported expert trainers from RRU, Gandhinagar during this impactful session held at Central Jail, Bhopal. It was focused on advancing correctional administration, prison reforms, and capacity building for jail personnel.

A proud step towards building a more professional, reform-oriented correctional system in Madhya Pradesh. 🙏
