UNICEF or the United Nation International Children's Education Fund has its headquarters in New York. UNICEF was created by the United Nation's General Assembly on 11th of December, 1946. Ludwik Arakchan is the founder of UNICEF and the 1st chairman from 1946 to 1950. It was then made to satisfy the urge of children in countries devastated by the World War II.

UNICEF's sole motive is to stand for children's welfare and constant effort towards prevention and treatment of diseases. Henrietta Goldman Fore, the American government officer, is the executive director of the United Nations Children's Fund. UNICEF relies on the contribution from government and private donors. It's program mainly emphasizes on developing community-level service to promote the health and well-being of the children.

UNICEF ambassadors are the leading figures of the entertainment, sports, music and such fields so that they can easily spread awareness and raise money with the help of their self-acquired talent and fame.

Hima Das, the gold medalist has been appointed as the first youth ambassador of UNICEF India.

Makhanlal ChaturvediUniversity, Bhopal was an amazing host to the first time idea of Model United Nations. We thank the Vice Chancellor Mr. Deepak Tiwari for honoring the event with his presence and guiding light he bestowed upon his students. We really appreciate his progressive and student-friendly attitude. Thank you Sir for motivating the students to come up for a good cause.

Also we were honored to have Miss Rohini Singh from ThePrint and Miss Amulya Gopalakrishnan from The Times of India to the inaugural event. Your presence did upscale the purpose of the event.

The Secretariat takes pride in announcing that MCMUN successfully conducted its first ever workshop on Model United Nations in Makhanlal ChaturvediUniversity (Bhopal Campus) with a humongous amount of keen participants in the row.

The workshop consisted the detailed description of United Nations Organization, Model United Nations, Committees, Rules of Procedure and many different aspects. Students ensured their participation with a huge amount of zeal and enthusiasm. We look forward for more such events.

Students and faculties of the university are cordially invited to witness the first ever workshop in the Makhanlal ChaturvediUniversity Campus.
