IISER Bhopal is commemorating the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026 through a series of activities designed to promote health, mindfulness, and holistic well-being across the campus community.
Organized by the Sports Section, the celebrations began with daily yoga sessions from 1 June 2026, conducted under the guidance of a qualified yoga instructor at the LHC Atrium.
As part of the national observance of IDY 2026, members of the IISER Bhopal community are encouraged to participate in the Guinness World Record attempt for the largest number of individuals joining a live online yoga session simultaneously. The event, led by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, will take place on 14 June 2026.
The celebrations will continue during Yoga Week (15–21 June 2026), featuring a diverse range of competitions and engagement activities. The week-long activities will culminate with the Yoga Sangam programme on 21 June 2026.
Open to students, faculty, staff, and community members, these initiatives provide a platform for participants to engage with the values of yoga through creativity, knowledge, and practice.
Through its participation in IDY 2026, IISER Bhopal reaffirms its commitment to fostering a culture of wellness, balance, and community engagement while contributing to a global movement that celebrates the transformative potential of yoga.
