MANIT Bhopal successfully concluded the 3-day Faculty Development Programme on “Outcome Based Education and Active Pedagogy” conducted by eminent experts Prof. Sanjay Agrawal and Prof. R. K. Kapoor from NITTTR Bhopal.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Prof. K. K. Shukla (Director, MANIT) and Guests of Honor Prof. C. C. Tripathi (Director, NITTTR Bhopal) and Prof. Rajeev Srivastava (Director, IIIT Ranchi).
Faculty members gained practical exposure to OBE concepts, CO-PO mapping, outcome assessment, attainment calculations, and innovative learner-centric pedagogies. Interactive sessions and hands-on activities enhanced understanding of quality teaching practices and preparedness for NBA accreditation and NIRF initiatives.

Key Outcomes:
* Enhanced understanding of OBE implementation
* Hands-on experience in CO-PO mapping and articulation matrices
* Improved knowledge of assessment and attainment methods
* Exposure to active learning and innovative pedagical approaches

“Sundays on Cycle” campaign was organized on 14th June 2026 in MANIT Bhopal at 6:30 AM on 14th of June 2026, the ride has started from the institute main Porch to Sports Complex.
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), a flagship programme of the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. As part of this collaboration, Fit India movement celebrated on 14th June 2026 across institutions under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiatives as per the directives from the Ministry of Education (MOE) Government of India.
In MANIT Bhopal the “Sundays on Cycle campaign” was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr.Karunesh Kumar Shukla, Director of MANIT Bhopal and Special Invitee Dr.Anupama Sharma Dean (ID & IR) of the institute, the event also joined by the Dean Student Welfare, faculty members, non-teaching staff and guards of the institute.
In future also such bicycle drives will take place to strengthening the fit India movement and well-being of everyone in the institute.

The inauguration of the Summer Internship Programme (1st to 30th June) was held today at 10:00 A.M. in the presence of our honourable director, Prof. K.K.Shukla as Chief Guest, Mr. Rakesh Dwivedi as Guest of Honour, Prof.R N Yadav, Prof. Shailendra Jain, Faculty members, officials, and participating interns. This programme is organized by Centre of Excellence in Product Design and Smart Manufacturing, MANIT Bhopal.
The programme aims to provide students with practical exposure, skill development opportunities, and hands-on experience in their respective fields. During the inaugural session, Dr.C.M.Krishna, the Coordinator of the programme highlighted the importance of internships in bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice.
Addressing the participants, Prof.K.K.Shukla encouraged the interns to make the most of the programme by actively engaging in learning activities, developing professional competencies, and gaining valuable industry insights. Mr.Rakesh Dwivei, CEO of NRT Private Limited highlighted the importance of application of AI in Smart manufacturing but cautioned the interns not to be too dependent on AI.
A large number of UG students from various technical institutions from different parts of India attended the inauguration and expressed enthusiasm about participating in the programme.
The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks.

Dr. Rashmi Chawla from the University of Calabria, Italy, visited the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, during 18–19 May 2026. Her visit focused on research interactions and collaborative discussions in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Human-Robot Interaction, and IoT systems. Dr. Chawla is actively involved in developing AI systems for real-world applications, including emotion-aware robots performing in live orchestras and IoT-enabled intelligent environments. She also shared insights into her ongoing work on Emotion-Aware Human-Robot Collaboration and the MUSIC 4D Project. During the visit, she interacted with Prof. R. K. Pateriya (Head, CSE), Prof. Deepak Singh Tomar (HoC, CSE), Prof. Nilay Khare (Dean R&C), Dr. Bholanath Roy, Dr. Vikram Garg, Dr. Akash Sinha, Dr. Archana Balmik, members of the administration, and PhD scholars. The interaction created opportunities for knowledge exchange and is expected to promote future collaborative and product-oriented research initiatives under the guidance of Prof. K. K. Shukla, Director, MANIT.
