मौलाना आज़ाद राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (मैनिट), भोपाल के मानविकी एवं सामाजिक विज्ञान विभाग द्वारा हिंदी दिवस के अवसर पर एक दिवसीय “हिंदी शोध सम्मेलन 2026 – हिंदी: पारंपरिक ज्ञान से कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता तक, ज्ञान, विज्ञान और नवाचार का सेतु” का आयोजन किया गया।

कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत सरस्वती पूजन के साथ हुई। उद्घाटन सत्र में मैनिट के निदेशक प्रो. डॉ. करुणेश कुमार शुक्ल तथा डॉ. सुषमा गुप्ता, अधिष्ठाता, संकाय कल्याण, मैनिट भोपाल की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति रही। निदेशक महोदय ने हिंदी के सरल एवं सहज प्रयोग और तकनीकी शिक्षा में भारतीय भाषाओं के महत्व पर अपने विचार साझा किए। विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ. पुष्पेंद्र यादव ने हिंदी के महत्व एवं भारत सरकार के निर्देशों पर प्रकाश डाला। श्री पवन जैन, पूर्व महानिदेशक, होमगार्ड ने भी अपने विचार व्यक्त किए। डॉ. मदन धनौरा ने सम्मेलन की रूपरेखा एवं उद्देश्यों तथा डॉ. आशीष गुप्ता ने तकनीकी सत्रों की जानकारी दी। धन्यवाद ज्ञापन डॉ. अंजुली जैन ने किया।

सम्मेलन में पाँच तकनीकी सत्रों में कुल 35 शोध-पत्र प्रस्तुत किए गए। इनमें कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता, अनुवाद, डिजिटल ज्ञान, भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा, स्वास्थ्य, संस्कृति, पर्यावरण, साहित्य, लैंगिकता, शासन, नेतृत्व एवं राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति जैसे विषयों पर चर्चा हुई। प्रत्येक सत्र में सर्वश्रेष्ठ शोध-पत्र प्रस्तुति के लिए प्रथम एवं द्वितीय पुरस्कार प्रदान किए गए।

समापन सत्र की मुख्य अतिथि डॉ. सुषमा गुप्ता, अधिष्ठाता, संकाय कल्याण, मैनिट भोपाल रहीं। उन्होंने विभाग को बधाई देते हुए ऐसे आयोजनों को आगे भी जारी रखने पर बल दिया। डॉ. पुष्पेंद्र यादव ने सभा को संबोधित किया और डॉ. आशीष गुप्ता ने सम्मेलन का प्रतिवेदन प्रस्तुत किया। इसके बाद सहभागियों को प्रमाण-पत्र वितरित किए गए।

सम्मेलन के सफल आयोजन में छात्र समन्वयकों दिव्यांकुर तिवारी, मीनाक्षी शर्मा, माधवी सिकरवार, नेहा भार्गव, पलक प्रधान, सागर मोरले, गर्वित जैन, रक्षा पुरोहित, चौधरी अर्पित सिंह एवं अंशिका सोनी का विशेष योगदान रहा। समापन सत्र का धन्यवाद ज्ञापन डॉ. मदन धनौरा ने किया।

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal successfully conducted the Internal Hackathon for the recommendation and selection of student teams for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 on 7th and 8th September 2026 at Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
The Internal Hackathon provided a structured platform for participating student teams to present and demonstrate their solutions to the problem statements released under SIH 2026.
The projects were evaluated by the jury members as part of the process for recommending and selecting teams for participation in the National Smart India Hackathon 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 151 teams comprising 906 students, reflecting the institute’s continued commitment to fostering innovation, problem- solving, and technology-driven solutions among students.
This event is coordinated by Dr. Vikram Garg and Dr. Mitul Kumar Ahirwal (Department of Computer Science and Engineering )

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, MANIT Bhopal, successfully organised the Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of the Master of Rural Management and Rural Entrepreneurship (MRME) programme on 3 September 2026. The programme saw enthusiastic participation, with all newly admitted MRME students, along with faculty members of the Department

The programme commenced with Saraswati Puja, invoking the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge for the newly admitted students, followed by a formal welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. Karunesh Kumar Shukla, Director, MANIT Bhopal, and Guest of Honour, Dr. Shailendra Jain, Dean (Academic), MANIT Bhopal.

Dr. Madan Dhanora, PG Programme Coordinator, briefed the gathering about the Master of Rural Management and Rural Entrepreneurship (MRME) programme, highlighting its curriculum, academic activities, outreach initiatives, and opportunities available to students.

Dr. Pushpendra Yadav, Head of the Department, explained the rationale behind the programme and highlighted the growing need for trained professionals who can contribute to rural planning, policy implementation, and entrepreneurship. He also outlined the expectations from the incoming batch and assured them of the Department’s continued support.

Address by Dr. Shailendra Jain, Dean (Academic), MANIT Bhopal

Dr. Shailendra Jain spoke about the expanding opportunities in the rural sector and the role of trained professionals in rural transformation and entrepreneurship. He encouraged students to approach the programme with sincerity and curiosity and actively participate in the academic and departmental activities for their holistic growth.

Address by Dr. Karunesh Kumar Shukla, Director, MANIT Bhopal

Dr. Karunesh Kumar Shukla, Chief Guest, highlighted the emerging opportunities in the rural development sector and the increasing importance of data-driven decision-making in rural planning and entrepreneurship. He emphasised that students should develop strong data analysis skills alongside their domain knowledge, as the ability to interpret and effectively use data is becoming increasingly important for informed decision-making in the rural sector.

He also commended the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences for introducing and nurturing the MRME programme and encouraged the Department to further expand its academic, research, and outreach activities in the coming years. He motivated the students to make full use of the opportunities provided by the programme and the Institute.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Anjuli Jain, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their presence and contribution towards making the programme a success.

More than 300 students, faculty members and industry professionals came together at MANIT Bhopal for the one-day workshop “Societal Aspects of Nuclear Energy: From the Core to the Citizen”, organized by the Department of Energy Science & Engineering, MANIT Bhopal, in collaboration with the Indian Nuclear Society (INS), Mumbai.

The programme was graced by Dr. Sailendra Jain, Dean (Academic), MANIT Bhopal, as the Chief Guest and Prof. V. K. Manchanda as the Guest of Honour.

Participants had the opportunity to hear from distinguished experts including Shri S. K. Sinha, Shri Sanjay Chouksey, Dr. Jaideep Gupta, Shri K.T.P. Balakrishnan, Dr. Hrishikesh Mishra, Dr. Archana Mishra and Shri A. K. Sinha.

Through engaging talks, discussions and an interactive panel session, the experts explored the many ways nuclear science and technology are shaping society — from energy and nuclear safety to healthcare, agriculture, food security, advanced technologies and sustainable development.

For students, the workshop was also an opportunity to look beyond the classroom, understand emerging career possibilities and interact directly with experienced scientists and professionals.

The programme was held under the guidance of Dr. Arvind Mittal, Professor & Head, Department of Energy Science & Engineering, Convener, with the dedicated coordination of Dr. Gurveer Singh, Dr. Meena Agrawal and Dr. Hrishikesh Mishra.
