The Department of Electrical Engineering at Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad celebrated IEEE Day 2026 with great enthusiasm, bringing together technology, Indian cultural heritage, ethical values, innovation, and environmental sustainability under the theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.”

The centrepiece of the celebration was an insightful panel discussion with Chief Guest Dr. Kapileshwar Das (MBBS, AIIMS, associated with ISKCON) on the Indian Knowledge System, focusing on the relevance of the Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana in our daily lives and engineering education. The session reinforced the idea that technical excellence must be complemented by ethical values to nurture truly responsible engineers and socially conscious citizens.

The celebration also featured a Daana Pani Initiative to spread compassion and encourage care for birds and the natural environment, along with a Tree Plantation Drive to promote environmental awareness and a commitment to sustainability.
