Jagran School of Languages and Social Sciences (JSLS) organised an expert talk on “Citizen-Centric Administration” for the students of BA Public Policy and Administration on 23rd September, 2026. The resource person was Mr. Ramesh Shrivastava, retired Indian Forest Service officer, who explained the concept of citizen-centric administration and its significance in a democratic set-up to the students through this interactive session. The various methods for facilitating citizen-centric administration in India were also shared by him. The insights and perspectives shared would prove to be very useful to the students in understanding the framework of citizen-centric administration. At Jagran Lakecity University, we prioritise practical exposure as well as in-class learning and ensure that our learners have the opportunity to interact with seasoned professionals.

On September 22, 2026, students from Jagran School of Languages and Social Sciences at Jagran Lakecity University visited Acharya Shri Ram High School to conduct an interactive workshop under the student-driven initiative Psyksha.

The session focused on the theme “Promoting Positive Self Image and Emotional Regulation.” Through engaging activities, open discussions, and an approachable setting, the university student-led team guided young learners through essential personal development areas like - 

Self-Esteem Building: Understanding personal worth and developing self-confidence; Stress Management: Learning practical strategies to navigate daily academic and personal stressors; Cognitive Restructuring: Identifying and reframing negative thought patterns; Self-Compassion & Social Comparison: Overcoming peer pressure and cultivating constructive positive self-talk.

This community outreach initiative reflects the commitment of Jagran School of Languages and Social Sciences to experiential learning that generates a meaningful social impact.

Jagran Lakecity University believes in student centricity and extends its gratitude to Acharya Shri Ram High School for their partnership in prioritising mental well-being of school goers.

Through this initiative we have also edged forward towards better attainment of SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 4: Quality Education.

The National Workshop on Adaptive and Unified Sports concluded on an inspiring note, bringing together meaningful discussions, expert insights, and hands-on learning focused on building a more inclusive sporting ecosystem.

Day 1 | Building the Foundation

The workshop commenced with a soulful Saraswati Vandana and lamp lighting ceremony, marking the beginning of two days of learning and collaboration.

• Mr. Deepankar Benarjee provided an insightful overview of the structure and functioning of Special Olympics Bharat.

• Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Shukla highlighted key aspects of disability rights and the RPwD Act, 2016.

• Dr. Alok Mishra explored emerging career opportunities in the field of adaptive sports.

• Dr. Ashutosh Sharma demonstrated practical approaches to integrating Unified Sports into everyday school environments.

Day 2 | From Learning to Action

The second day focused on athlete well-being, accessibility, safety, and practical application.

• Dr. Sumit Rai & Dr. P. S. Dara addressed athlete mental health and accessibility in sports facilities.

• Ms. Sabrina Lobo shared essential safety protocols for Winter Games.

• Ms. Manjari Kale & Ms. Nahid Sohail offered valuable perspectives on the role of families in supporting athletes.

• The Special Olympics Bharat Madhya Pradesh Team brought the sessions to life with an engaging Unified Sports Football Demonstration.

The workshop concluded with an award ceremony, certificate distribution, and a memorable group photograph, celebrating the collective learning, participation, and commitment towards inclusive sports.

As part of our continued commitment to promoting mental health, well-being, inclusive education, and meaningful partnerships, Jagran School of Languages and Social Sciences at Jagran Lakecity University organized a session on 21st September 2026, where all the students came together for an important and meaningful workshop on the topic ‘Mind Your Mind: Understanding the Power of the Subconscious Mind’.
Ms Richa Suman Vyas, delhi-based Clinical Hypnotherapist & Past Life Regression Therapist led the workshop and guided the students towards understanding the nuances of how the mind works is and the power of the subconscious mind.

This initiative also contributes to the achievement of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 3 and SDG 4 in addition to the university’s key pillar of maintaining student centricity. Through such initiatives, we strive to make mental health education accessible, compassionate, and action-oriented.

We wish to continue building communities where people learn to introspect, feel supported, and feel safe.

Thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the JLU Intra-Moot Court Competition 2026! ⚖️✨

Organized by the Faculty of Law, Jagran Lakecity University, on August 21–22, the competition saw 32 teams (96 participants) from 2nd to 5th year transform complex legal research into persuasive advocacy across Torts, Contracts, Environmental, and Constitutional Law.

हिंदी दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में जागरण लेककिटी यूनिवर्सिटी के जागरण स्कूल ऑफ लैंग्वेजेज एंड सोशल साइंसेज (JSLS) द्वारा ‘द राइटर्स रूम’ के अंतर्गत एक विशेष व्याख्यान का आयोजन गुरुदेव गुप्ता मीडिया स्टूडियोज़ (मीडिया थिएटर) में किया गया। कार्यक्रम का विषय “हिंदी और भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा: भाषा, लोकज्ञान और जीवन-दृष्टि” था इस अवसर पर प्रख्यात लेखिका और ख्यातिप्राप्त साहित्यकार डॉ उर्मिला शिरीष मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में उपस्थित रहीं अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने हिंदी भाषा और भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा के गहरे संबंध पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने छात्रों को बताया कि किस प्रकार लोकज्ञान, कहावतें और मौखिक परंपराएं हमारी भाषा में सदियों के अनुभव और जीवन-दृष्टि को संजोए हुए हैं।उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को हिंदी को केवल एक भाषा नहीं, बल्कि सोचने और जीने का एक तरीका मानने की सीख दी, और भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा को आधुनिक शिक्षा से जोड़ने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया।छात्रों और शिक्षकों ने इस सत्र में बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लिया और अपनी जिज्ञासाओं को वक्ता के समक्ष रखा।
