The Cabinet has decided to treat 16 to 18 years old as adults for heinous offences. Cabinet has approved the transfer system (transfer to adult court). The decision of transfer will be based on an assessment of whether " the crime was committed as a child or as an adult "

22.5 gigawatts power , Which is three and half times the next largest Grand Coulee Project in the U.S. The number of China's dam has risen from 22 in 1949 to over 86000 including 25000 large dams.

A PRIVATE MEMBER BILL AFTER 4 DECADES....
In a rare development, a private member’s Bill protecting and providing rights for transgenders was passed by the Rajya Sabha on 24 April 2015. This was the first time in 45 years that a private members’ Bill has been passed by the House.
TIRUCHI SIVA belongs to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party and is a Member of the Parliament representing Tamil Nadu in the Rajya Sabha brought this bill.
After 45 years a private member bill has been passed. Only 14 private member bills have been passed by Parliament so far, all before 1970.

India launches 'OPERATION MAITRI'
The Indian military has mounted a massive relief operation in quake-hit Nepal, using its fleet of transport aircraft to rush in rescue teams and relief materials and ferry back stranded Indians.

The operation was launched shortly after the 7.9-magnitude quake hit Nepal at 11.56 am on Saturday, and the first military plane carrying relief materials and Indian experts landed in Kathmandu before 6pm.
