🚀NIRMAAN 2026 | Curtain Raiser Ceremony

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, SISTec Gandhi Nagar, successfully hosted the Curtain Raiser Ceremony of NIRMAAN 2026 – the 14th Edition of the National Level Tech Skill Expo & Working Model Competition at The Sagar Corporate Office, Bhopal.

With this year’s theme, “Sustainable Engineering”, NIRMAAN 2026 aims to provide a platform for students to transform ideas into impactful working models across emerging domains such as Hydrogen as Sustainable Fuel, Smart Agriculture, Robotics & Drones, Battery Thermal Management, IoT, Waste Management, FinTech and more.

The ceremony unveiled the vision, objectives, and upcoming activities of NIRMAAN 2026, while also highlighting its 13-year legacy of encouraging innovation, practical learning, research, patents, and startups.

The session was led by Dr. Tikendra Nath Verma, Professor at MANIT Bhopal, who shared expert guidance on crafting impactful research proposals, developing high-quality technical papers, and understanding funding opportunities for innovative research projects.

The workshop provided students and faculty members with valuable exposure to research planning, scholarly writing practices, publication standards, and effective presentation of technical ideas.

The session proved to be highly informative and inspiring, encouraging participants to strengthen their research mindset and contribute to innovation-driven engineering advancements.

Industrial Visit to Venkatesh Indigenous Pipes Pvt. Ltd. 🏭✨

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, SISTec Gandhi Nagar, organized an industrial visit for B.Tech. 4th Semester students to Venkatesh Indigenous Pipes Pvt. Ltd., Mandideep (Bhopal), to enhance practical and industry-oriented learning.

A group of 28 students, accompanied by faculty member Prof. Pawan Kumar Yadav, actively participated in the visit. The organization, known for manufacturing a wide range of piping solutions including HDPE, PVC, UPVC, and irrigation systems, provided valuable insights into modern industrial processes.

During the visit, students gained hands-on exposure to the manufacturing of plumbing, sewerage, and drainage piping systems, along with their applications in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. They also explored how these products contribute to infrastructure development and agricultural needs.

The visit proved to be an enriching experience, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industrial practices, and enhancing students’ understanding of manufacturing technologies.

SISTec Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an industrial visit for B.Tech 3rd Semester students to Vasundhara Krishi Yantra, providing valuable exposure to real-world manufacturing practices.

Students explored the manufacturing and assembly processes of agricultural machinery, including fabrication, machining, welding, quality inspection, and industry safety standards. The visit emphasized the role of agricultural mechanization in enhancing productivity while helping students connect classroom concepts with practical applications.

SISTec successfully conducted a Campus Placement Drive with SV Agri (Siddhivinayak Agri Processing Pvt. Ltd.) for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (Batch 2026) students, opening promising career pathways in the core engineering domain.

The drive was organized for the Graduate Engineer Trainee profile with a CTC of ₹3.5 LPA and Pune as the job location. The recruitment process was smoothly coordinated by the Training & Placement Office (TPO), SISTec, ensuring an effective interaction between recruiters and students.
