Sagar Institute of Pharmacy and Technology (SIPTec) celebrated the 6th National Pharmacovigilance Week and World Pharmacists Day 2026 with the theme “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures” through a series of insightful, engaging, and experiential learning activities for students.

As part of the celebrations, students participated in visits to the Vigyan Mela, Sagar Multispeciality Hospital, and the Herbal Medicinal Garden at Pt. Khushilal Sharma Government (Autonomous) Ayurveda College & Institute. These experiences provided valuable exposure to healthcare practices, medicines, pharmacovigilance, and the vital role of pharmacists in patient care.

The celebrations also featured a Health & Wellness Camp, sports activities, a play, and an engaging session on the History of Pharmacy, offering students a holistic blend of learning, awareness, health, and recreation.

Sagar Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology & Research (SIPTec-R) organized a Working Model Competition showcasing students' creativity and technical skills. The event featured a wide range of innovative models across various areas of pharmacy, including Human Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Medicinal Chemistry.

Students presented different types of working models demonstrating the application of pharmaceutical techniques and technologies in the development of various dosage forms. The models effectively highlighted practical concepts and real-world applications in the pharmaceutical field.

The competition was evaluated by Dr. Eisha Ganju, Professor at the School of Pharmacy & Research, Peoples University, Bhopal, whose expert guidance and insights added great value to the event.
