KSEC congratulates Dr Queen Sarkar Banerjee, Assistant Professor II (English), on her selection to present her research at the highly acclaimed eTEXTS: Literary and Cultural Studies Conference.

Dr. Sarkar’s paper, titled “The Digital Dust Bowl: Narratives of Obsolescence and ‘Vapor-Culture’ in the Anglo-American Anthropocene,” has been selected for the opening session on “Memory, Archive, and the Politics of Disappearance.” This prestigious international academic forum is co-organized by the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Poland), Delta State University (USA), and the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Dr. Sarkar will be representing KSEC and KIIT on this global platform.

We congratulate Dr. Sarkar on this scholarly milestone and look forward to her representation of our institution on the international stage.

KSEC is delighted to share the recent scholarly publication of Dr. Saswat Kishore Mishra, Associate Professor-I & Associate Dean – Economics & Commerce.

Co-authored with Dr Madhusmita Dash and Dr Amalendu Jyotishi, the chapter titled “Marginalisation and Livelihood Dispossession: What Eludes Odisha?” has been published by Taylor & Francis.

The publication reflects sustained academic inquiry into contemporary socio-economic concerns and contributes to ongoing scholarly discussions on issues relating to Odisha.

Embracing the true essence of humanity and social responsibility, the faculty members of KIIT School of Economics and Commerce enthusiastically participated in the Art of Giving initiative, spreading smiles and positivity through thoughtful acts of kindness.

The celebration was carried out by Dr. Sameer Shekhar, Dr. Arya Kumar, and Dr. Sarita Kumari Singh, Senior Assistant Professors, along with Dr. Ruchi Priya Khilar and Dr. Smruti Ranjan Das, Assistant Professor, KIIT School of Economics and Commerce. Compassion finds its truest expression in the moments we choose to share with others. On 17th May 2026, Prof. Sukanta Chandra Swain and Dr. Sarbeswar Mohanty from KIIT School of Economics and Commerce visited Dibyanga Adarsha Trust, Bharatpur, Bhubaneswar, as part of the Art of Giving initiative. Spending meaningful time with the 30 visually impaired inmates, they shared warmth, conversations, and moments of togetherness that made the occasion truly special.
