🚀 Training Programme on Technology Readiness Level (TRL) & Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL)

The School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, is pleased to share that the AICTE Driven R&D Cell, Idea Café & Climate Cell, KIIT-DU successfully organized a training programme on “Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL)” on 28 August 2026 at Seminar Hall 1, Campus-6, KIIT-DU.

The programme focused on strengthening understanding of the journey from research and innovation to technology deployment and manufacturing, with emphasis on TRL, Innovation Readiness Level (IRL), and MRL.

The technical session was delivered by Dr. Bijay Kumar Sahu, NRDC, DSIR, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, who spoke on “Understanding Technology Readiness Level (TRL) & Innovation Readiness Level (IRL) – Bridging Lab to Land for Sustainability.”

The programme provided valuable insights into translating innovative ideas and research outcomes into market-ready technologies and sustainable manufacturing solutions.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Sudhakar Sahu, Chairman, and Dr. Asit Behera, Convener, AICTE Driven R&D Cell, Idea Café & Climate Cell.

The School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, is pleased to share that Dr-Swayam Bikash Mishra, Assistant Professor, School of Mechanical Engineering, served as a Resource Person at the 5-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Gandhi Institute of Excellent Technocrats (GIET), Bhubaneswar.

Dr. Mishra delivered an expert session on “Sustainable Development Through Industrial Automation and Application of 3D Printing Technologies,” focusing on the role of emerging technologies in promoting sustainable engineering, innovation, and advanced manufacturing.
