Day 5 | Student Induction Programme | GIET (Autonomous), Baniatangi

The day began with Yoga, followed by an engaging session on the NCC Club by Prof. Jagannath Pradhan.

An inspiring motivational talk, “Making of a Jolly Good Fellow,” by Mr. Srimant Acharya, Distinguished Executive Director (Cyber Security), Deloitte South Asia was very insightful and informative to the new comers.

Students were introduced to the NSS, Music & Dance Clubs, and Hostel Rules & Regulations, along with insightful sessions on Academic Rules & Regulations by Dean Academics, Dr. Animesh Chhotray, and Research & Development by Dean R&D, Dr. Sambit Kumar Mishra.

The day concluded with an inspiring address by Honourable Principal, Dr. Jibanananda Jena, encouraging the first-year B.Tech students to begin their journey with confidence, curiosity and purpose.

A day of wellness, learning, motivation and industry insights!
Students began with Yoga for a healthy mind and body, followed by valuable sessions on the timetable, ERP, library and grading system.

The day featured an inspiring Mental & Physical Wellness session by Olympian and Arjuna awardee Mr. K. Ravi Kumar along with a Motivational & Industry Perspective Talk by Dr. Hemant Kumar Rath, Distinguished Scientist and Head Research, TCS, Bhubaneswar encouraging students to stay focused, skilled and future-ready.

by Mr. H. K. Mishra, Ex-DGM (HR), SAIL & Renowned Corporate Trainer , motivating our freshers to pursue success with purpose,
positivity and perseverance.

A meaningful beginning at GIET (Autonomous), Baniatangi, as our new students embarked on their induction journey with Yoga for a balanced mind and body, insightful sessions on Universal Human Values and engaging introductions to the departments of Basic Science & Humanities, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering.

The day continued with an introduction to the institute’s vibrant Clubs & Committees, a fun-filled game of Dumb Charades, and a hands-on lesson in social responsibility through plantation.
