KREST 1.0 – Alumni Entrepreneur Conclave 2026 brought together ideas, experiences and entrepreneurial perspectives at Campus 17, KIIT Deemed to be University.

Students from KIIT School of Mass Communication actively participated in various roles—Sammi Suhana Khan (5th Semester) as the anchor, Deesha Thapa (5th Semester) handling photography and registration, Anwesha Chattopadhyay (3rd Semester) working with the Disciplinary Committee, and Samadrita Banerjee (3rd Semester) managing registration.

These experiences outside the classroom allow students to apply their skills, collaborate as a team, and gain practical exposure to communication and event management. We are proud to see our students learning, contributing, and growing through real-world experiences.

The Faculty Development Workshop on Gender Equity united faculty from KIIT School of Mass Communication, KIIT School of Film & Media Sciences, and KIIT School of Fashion Technology for a meaningful discussion on inclusion, fairness, and the educator’s role in fostering equitable learning environments.

The session was honoured by Prof. (Dr.) Debasish Bandyopadhyay, Pro-Vice Chancellor of KIIT Deemed to be University, and prominently featured an engaging dialogue led by Ms. Lavang Khare, Strategic Communications Advisor at Adfactors PR and Advisory Council Member of TalentNomics India.

Facilitated by TalentNomics India, the workshop aimed to inspire faculty to examine their teaching methods, distinguish between equality and equity, and explore ways to make academic spaces more inclusive. The discussions covered topics from refining teaching behaviours to understanding how educators shape students’ mindsets, emphasising that creating equitable environments starts with the conversations we engage in.
