🌟 Alumni Connect at Bhavan’s!

It was a pleasure to welcome Subhransu Pal, an alumnus of the 2012–14 batch of BCCM, back to his alma mater. His visit was a wonderful opportunity to revisit his cherished memories and relive the old days at Bhavan.

During his interaction with the PGP-2 job aspirants, Subhransu shared valuable insights into what it takes to build a successful career outside Odisha. He spoke about his own professional journey—how he established himself in an organisation, earned the trust of the management, and gradually took on greater responsibilities.

He also briefed the students about the job roles and career opportunities available in his organisation and invited interested students to explore opportunities to work with him.

Today, Subhransu is serving as a General Manager at 9 Alkaline Water in Kutch, Gujarat.

His journey is a wonderful example of how confidence, adaptability, commitment and the willingness to step beyond one’s comfort zone can open new doors in a career.

At BCCM, we believe that our alumni are not just our former students—they are an integral part of the Bhavan family and an inspiration to the next generation.

BHUBANESWAR, Odisha – August 29, 2026 – Bhavan’s Centre for Communication & Management (BCCM), a constituent institution of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, hosted a one-day seminar titled “Idea Generation with Business Plan Preparation” for its PGP-I (2026–28) batch to sensitise students to identifying market opportunities, developing viable concepts, and constructing structured business plans. The programme featured distinguished guests Mr. Ankit Panda (Head, UCIIF, Utkal University), Mr. Swastik Kanhar (CEO, OFSKOOL), and Prof. Bishnu Prasad Panda (Head, CEII, BCCM), alongside faculty members Dr. Subrat Swain, Dr. Sushree Sangeeta Mohanty, Prof. Ansuman Parida, Prof. Durga Charan Barik, and Prof. Sweta Mohapatra. Highlighting student engagement, groups presented six innovative ventures—Thread & Craft, Fresh Shop, Eco Glow, Waste to Wonder, Millora, and Herbal Alcohol—which were critically evaluated by expert judges on their market potential and sustainability.

Integrating MITS’s laboratory infrastructure with BCCM’s management pedagogy allows both organizations to maximize shared resources, drive joint research initiatives, and expand their combined corporate network. This collaboration enables the launch of specialized management programs geared toward high-growth industries like healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology, positioning both institutions as trailblazers in cross-disciplinary education.
The primary beneficiaries of this joint vision are the students, who gain access to a well-rounded and market-ready skill set. Life Sciences students learn to navigate essential business operations and managerial decisions, while Management students build deep domain knowledge in specialized scientific sectors.
