School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT proudly congratulates Ayush Kumar, a 3rd year student for winning the Gold Medal in the Senior Male Kumite (84 kg) category at the 10th International Karate Championship – Indian Challengers Cup 2026, held from 31st July to 2nd August 2026 at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata, West Bengal.

School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT, successfully conducted the School Induction Program for the 3rd Semester B.Tech students on 20th July 2026.
The program was conducted under the guidance and participation of the Dean, Director, Program Heads, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Semester Coordinators, Faculty-in-Charge (Tutor Mentor), Tutor Mentors, and Faculty-in-Charge (Student Affairs).
The induction session aimed to warmly welcome the students and familiarize them with the School's academic ecosystem, curriculum structure, laboratory facilities, academic regulations, mentoring system, research opportunities, and various student-centric initiatives. Students were also encouraged to uphold professional ethics, develop technical competencies, and actively participate in academic, research, innovation, and co-curricular activities throughout their engineering journey.
The School extends its sincere appreciation to all the faculty members and staff for their dedicated efforts in making the induction program informative, interactive, and inspiring.

School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT successfully organized IEEE PELS Distinguished Lecture Talk on 13th July 2026 on the topic "High Current Modular DC Power Supplies with High Availability for Solid-state RF Amplifiers."

The session was delivered by Prof. Manmath Kumar Badapanda, FNAE, FIE(I), IEEE Distinguished Lecturer (Power Electronics Society), DAE Raja Ramanna Chair, Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, and Adjunct Professor, Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad.
Prof. Badapanda shared his extensive knowledge on the design, operation, and reliability of high-current modular DC power supplies for solid-state RF amplifiers, highlighting recent technological advancements, practical challenges, and emerging research opportunities in the field of power electronics. The insightful lecture stimulated engaging discussions and inspired participants to explore innovative solutions in advanced power conversion technologies.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from B.Tech and M.Tech students, Ph.D. scholars, and faculty members of the School of Electrical Engineering. The interactive session provided an excellent platform for academic exchange and reinforced the University's commitment to promoting research excellence and industry-relevant learning.
