KIIT Ranked 4th Best University in India and No. 1 in Eastern India in THE World University Rankings 2027

KIIT Deemed to be University has achieved a significant milestone in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, securing the 4th position among universities in India and emerging as the No. 1 ranked university in Eastern India. Globally, KIIT has been placed in the 501–550 band in the latest edition of the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The 2027 edition reflects KIIT’s continued progress across key areas of institutional performance, including teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement and international outlook. The University has moved up by one position in the national comparison from the previous edition, reaffirming its sustained efforts towards academic excellence, research, quality assurance, global engagement and institutional development.

This achievement is a reflection of the collective contribution of KIIT’s faculty members, researchers, students, academic and administrative teams, as well as the University’s continued emphasis on quality enhancement and internationalisation.

The recognition further strengthens KIIT’s position among India’s leading universities and reinforces its growing global academic presence.

Inauguration of IQAC Faculty Development Programme | KIIT-DU

KIIT Deemed to be University inaugurated a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), bringing together academic and administrative stakeholders for meaningful conversations on quality enhancement, institutional excellence and continuous improvement in higher education.

The inaugural session featured an insightful address by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, KIIT-DU, highlighting the importance of quality-driven academic practices and a culture of continuous institutional development.

The programme also featured an engaging session by Nitin Jain, Protiviti, offering valuable industry perspectives and insights relevant to quality assurance and institutional processes.

The FDP aims to strengthen capacity, encourage knowledge sharing and promote best practices that contribute to the continued pursuit of excellence at KIIT-DU.

On 19 September 2026, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), KIIT University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), entering into a collaboration with the IQAC of Kendrapara Autonomous College.

The MoU aims to strengthen institutional collaboration in quality assurance, accreditation, ranking practices, faculty development programmes, knowledge exchange, and other academic and institutional initiatives. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to fostering a culture of continuous quality enhancement in higher education.

Aligned with the vision of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises multidisciplinary education, institutional collaboration and the development of vibrant higher education ecosystems, the collaboration seeks to facilitate the sharing of expertise, practices and academic resources.
