We hosted the 17th National Finance Konclave at KIIT School of Management (KSOM) on the theme, “Digital Finance and Inclusive Growth: Redefining India’s Economic Future,” bringing together eminent leaders from the finance and BFSI sectors to discuss the evolving role of technology in building an inclusive and sustainable economic future for India.

The conclave explored the transformative potential of digital finance, FinTech, AI and emerging technologies, while highlighting the importance of cybersecurity, digital literacy, consumer protection and responsible innovation.

We were privileged to hear perspectives from distinguished industry leaders, including Mr Vikram Gupta, Founder and Managing Partner, IvyCap Ventures Advisors Pvt. Ltd., and an expert panel comprising leading professionals from Wells Fargo, Tata Realty & Infrastructure, IKF Finance, BFSI Sector Skill Council of India and Mangal Industries Limited.

The discussions examined the future of financial markets, access to capital, digital public infrastructure, financial inclusion and the need for India to evolve from a technology consumer into a creator and exporter of technology-led solutions.

The conclave further featured interactive workshops on digital payments and FinTech, M&A, debt markets, cross-border financial integration and Digital Public Infrastructure, offering participants valuable industry-led insights.

At KIIT, we continue to foster strong academia-industry collaboration and experiential learning, empowering our students with the knowledge, skills and perspectives needed to become future-ready professionals and contribute meaningfully to India’s economic growth.

We are proud to celebrate our alumnus and Odisha’s Kabir Hans for emerging as the Singles Champion and Doubles Champion at the AITA Men’s ₹1 Lakh Tennis Tournament, held at the Leander Paes–Samanta Tennis Stadium, KIIT Deemed to be University.

In the Singles final, Kabir Hans defeated Bushan Haobam of Manipur, while in Doubles, he partnered with Vedant Mistri of Maharashtra to overcome Odisha’s Amrutjay Mohanty and Aditya Satpathy.

Completely sponsored by KIIT, the tournament brought together 100+ players from across India, with more than half travelling from outside Odisha, reflecting KIIT’s growing role as a premier destination for competitive tennis.

We were honoured to host Shri Sanjeeb Panda (IPS), DGP, Anti-Naxal Operations & Special Intelligence Wing, Odisha Police and Honorary Secretary, Odisha Tennis Association, as Chief Guest, along with Mr Sambit Pattnaik, Joint Secretary, OTA, as Guest of Honour.

We at KIIT organised a Cybersecurity Awareness Event to strengthen awareness about emerging cyber threats and promote responsible digital practices among our staff members.

The session featured Mr Lingaraj Sethi, Information Security Researcher and Cyber Security Expert, as the Guest Speaker. He shared valuable insights into the evolving cybersecurity landscape and highlighted the importance of adopting secure and responsible digital practices in an increasingly connected world.

During the interactive session, Mr Sethi addressed contemporary cybersecurity threats and shared practical measures to safeguard digital information, online accounts, and institutional resources. He emphasised strong passwords, secure authentication, vigilance against suspicious links and communications, protection of sensitive information, and responsible use of digital platforms.

The session brought together 1,200 KIITIANS, providing participants with valuable insights into common cyber risks and preventive measures while reinforcing the importance of building a strong culture of cybersecurity awareness across the KIIT community.

Our thoughts are with all members of the KIIT, KISS & KIMS family in Nepal, especially those whose families and loved ones have been affected by the devastating floods.

We are also concerned about our students, staff, alumni and their families in the vulnerable areas of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, where the developing flood situation is being closely monitored.

At this difficult time, we stand together as one family. Those affected are requested to remain in touch with the University and share their situation so that all possible support may be extended.

Praying for everyone’s safety, strength and a swift return to normalcy.
