*One-Day Workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation” at Engineering College Bikaner (ECB)*

*Date: 23-07-2026*

The *Department of Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering* at ECB organized a one-day workshop to develop awareness among students about innovation, research, and *Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)*.

The main objective of the workshop was to familiarize students with the development of new technologies, their legal protection, and the process of converting laboratory-level innovations into commercial products.

In the program, *Young Innovator Maheep Purohit* shared his journey of developing his patented *“Smart Pipeline Monitoring System.”* He explained how innovation can help prevent economic losses and accidents.

Faculty members elaborated on the patent application process, and the criteria of novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability. They encouraged students to transform their innovations into patents, prototypes, and startups.

*Students Keshav and Kanhaiya* shared their project experiences on embedded systems, sensor integration, dual-core microcontrollers, and *IoT and 4G cloud connectivity*.

The workshop also included discussions and Q&A on patent drafting, prototype development, startups, and industrial product development. At the end, students were urged to innovate more and ensure legal protection for their work.

The workshop played a significant role in developing a new mindset among students towards research and technological entrepreneurship.

A Proud Farewell to Karan Nahata

From ECB Bikaner to IIT Hyderabad - Soaring to New Heights

It is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to *Karan Nahata* as he joins *IIT Hyderabad* for his next milestone.

A truly dedicated student administrator and mentor, Karan is an expert in *AI, Drones, and Machine Learning*. With sheer determination, he built a startup on his own and secured funding from *IIT Hyderabad, IIT Ropar, and iStart* to bring resources to ECB students. He alone has established an excellent *Training & Research Center* at ECB which is transforming the future of several students.

As he moves to IIT Hyderabad, we feel immense pride in his achievements and hope that he will establish an *ECB Representative Center at IIT Hyderabad*, bridging our students to greater opportunities. At the same time, we will deeply miss one of our brightest and closest students.

Karan has made his family, Bikaner, and ECB proud. His contribution in nurturing student talent will always be remembered.

It’s truly a proud moment to witness Class 12 student *Maheep Purohit* identify an industrial problem and develop an effective solution, along with securing its IP rights. As an institution, we feel fortunate to see this level of creativity and innovation from one of our school students. We remain committed to providing the necessary guidance and support to help refine his work further and enable even more creative outcomes in the future.

Maheep Purohit’s story is a perfect example of how young minds can spot real-world problems and actually build solutions around them — and on top of that, thinking about IP rights at Class 12 level shows serious vision.

ECB के गौरव - 2022-26 बैच के स्तंभ

फोटो में नज़र आ रहे आर्यन, हरि सिंह और प्रवीण, ECB के 2022-26 बैच के उन चार आधार-स्तंभों में से हैं जिन्होंने संस्थान में Product Development, Embedded Systems और Electronic Circuit Design की संस्कृति को नई ऊँचाई दी। इनकी लगन से न सिर्फ छात्रों का प्रशिक्षण सशक्त हुआ, बल्कि ECB से निकलकर पूरे BTU कैंपस में Semiconductor Chip Design-VLSI, Robotics, Drone Development और AI के मजबूत इकोसिस्टम की नींव पड़ी। इनके चौथे साथी करण नाहटा आज IIT हैदराबाद में होने के कारण अनुपस्थित हैं।

कल ये तीनों साथी अपनी No Dues प्रक्रिया पूर्ण कर प्रोविजनल डिग्री लेने संस्थान पहुंचे, और साथ लाए उपलब्धियों की चमक। हरी सिह और प्रवीण ने आई आई टी मंडी में Land Slide Monitoring System के डिजाइन से डेप्लोयमेंट तक की प्रक्रिया सफलता पूर्वक सम्पन्न की है । हरि सिंह ने Wonder Cement को कल ही शानदार पैकेज के साथ करियर की शुरुआत का आमंत्रण मिला है। प्रवीण 1 जुलाई से IIT Kanpur में Research Associate के रूप में जुड़ेंगे, जहाँ वे Railway Signaling Systems में AI और मशीन लर्निग के साथ शोध कर नई तकनीक विकसित करेंगे। आर्यन पहले ही CSIR-CEERI Pilani में Research Associate के रूप में Semiconductor Design और RF-5G आधारित चिप डेवलपमेंट पर कार्य आरंभ कर चुके हैं।

सबसे प्रेरक बात: प्रोफेशनल यात्रा पर निकलने से पहले इन युवाओं ने अपने इंजिनियरिंग प्रोफेशन तथा ECB को और गौरवान्वित करने के लिए स्वयं को समर्पित करने का संकल्प लिया है।हमें पूर्ण विश्वास है कि ये ECB-ian अपने इनोवेशन और तकनीकी शोध से समाज व उद्योग की जटिल समस्याओं का समाधान देंगे और एक बेहतर भारत के निर्माण में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएंगे।

🚀 AI-Powered Solutions – Demo for Prototypes at ECB

The one-day hands-on workshop titled “AI-Powered Solutions – Demo for Prototypes” was successfully organised on 30 May 2026 at the Robotics Laboratory, Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. Conducted in collaboration with S.T.A.R.K. Foundation, the workshop introduced students to next-generation AI tools and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in software development, innovation, and product creation.

The session was led by Mr. Pradhyumn Singh (IIT BHU, Georgia Tech, CFA), Ms. Aashima Rathore (BITS Pilani; former strategist at Uniphore, Revolut, and Target), and Mr. Gautam Pandey, who demonstrated how modern AI-powered coding assistants are transforming engineering workflows. Through live demonstrations and hands-on activities, students gained valuable exposure to AI-assisted development, problem-solving, and emerging industry trends.

ECB extends its sincere appreciation to the S.T.A.R.K. Foundation team and Ms. Pooja Bhardwaj, Head, Department of EICE, for successfully organizing this enriching learning experience. Special appreciation is also extended to the student coordinators Vinay Sharma, Dinesh Khairiya, Prashant Kumar, Bharat Raj, and Yogesh Rajpurohit, whose dedication, coordination, and tireless efforts were instrumental in the smooth and successful conduct of the workshop.

इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज बीकानेर द्वारा अपने छात्र करण नाहटा के स्टार्टअप को इनक्यूबेट कर प्रोत्साहित करने की पहल, संस्थान में बेहतर तकनीकी कौशल, इनोवेशन और एंटरप्रेन्योरशिप आधारित इकोसिस्टम निर्माण की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। इसके दूरगामी और सुखद परिणाम अवश्य मिलेंगे।

इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एंड इंस्ट्रूमेंटेशन विभागाध्यक्षा डॉ. पूजा भारद्वाज, विभागीय शिक्षकों, रजिस्ट्रार डॉ. अमित सोनी, डीन डॉ. गणेश प्रजापत एवं श्री मनीष तातेड़ के सक्रिय प्रयासों तथा प्राचार्य, ईसीबी एवं माननीय कुलगुरु महोदय के आशीर्वाद से अब छात्रों को संस्थान परिसर में ही उद्योग-आधारित तकनीकी कौशल की ट्रेनिंग एवं इंटर्नशिप की सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध होंगी।
