Not every classroom has four walls.
Sometimes, the most powerful lessons are learned sitting among communities, listening to stories of resilience, unity, and change. ๐พโจ
Students from the School of Social Science โ Department of Rural Development Management & Social Work at Seacom Skills University recently stepped beyond textbooks and into meaningful community engagement through an insightful interaction with the inspiring
Structured around Tuckmanโs Model โ Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing & Adjourning โ the session evolved into a dynamic exchange where academic understanding met grassroots reality.
While our students explored ideas surrounding collective growth, financial literacy, sustainable livelihoods, and community empowerment, the SHG members shared invaluable real-world experiences on savings culture, internal lending, leadership, trust-building, and democratic participation.
What made the interaction truly special was the spirit of co-learning โ a reminder that sustainable development is not created for communities, but with communities. ๐ค
This experience beautifully reflected Seacom Skills Universityโs commitment to experiential learning, social responsibility, and nurturing future changemakers who understand the pulse of rural India beyond theory and statistics.
A heartfelt gratitude to the SHG members of Sattore Gram Panchayat for welcoming our students with such warmth, wisdom, and inspiration. ๐
