GGDSD College conducts workshop on “Build with Meander – From Concepts to Real World Intelligence” under IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026
Chandigarh: February 3, 2026: The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of GGDSD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Post Graduate Department of Computer Science and Applications, successfully organized the workshop “Build with Meander – From Concepts to Real World Intelligence” on February 3, 2026, as part of the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College and Dr. Rina, Head of the department. The event began with a green welcome of the speaker Dr. Sandeep Srivastava, Founder, Meander Software Pvt. Ltd in the presence of faculty members and students, with the objective of fostering innovation, technological thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset among youth. The event aimed to foster innovation, technological thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth.
Dr. Srivastava shared insights drawn from over twenty years of industry experience. He engaged over 50 students and young professionals through interactive discussions and hands-on demonstrations covering Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), Global Digital Systems (GDS), Artificial Intelligence, digital assets, and application development, effectively connecting academic concepts with real-world industry applications.
During the IndiaAI Impact Summit talk, Dr. Srivastava explained the five-layered AI ecosystem, energy, chips, infrastructure, models, and applications, emphasizing that India’s key strength lies in the application layer. He highlighted growing government support for AI, citing a ₹10,000 crore budget allocation, and stressed the role of data and machine learning in building scalable AI solutions. The session also highlighted emerging career paths such as AI Architects and the increasing importance of prompt engineering as a core technical skill.
The workshop concluded with a focus on AI-driven automation, intelligent tool integration, and data transformation through AI inference, marking a shift beyond traditional coding practices. The event was seamlessly coordinated by Convenor Dr. Vikram Sagar, Organising Secretary Dr. Rina and Innovation Ambassador Dr. Pooja Mohan. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rina. She acknowledged the efforts of the resource person, organizing team and the student volunteers in making the workshop a success.
Overall, the initiative successfully bridged the academia-industry gap and inspired participants to pursue innovation-led and future-ready careers in technology and artificial intelligence.
