We all know about our love for the English language. It certainly is lovely. And not only you, I too, use English as a medium to express myself. But do you not think that in the process of becoming English N***s we are somewhere side-lining our native languages? We are all becoming judgemental somewhere. This Saturday 'Salient Saturday' brings to you some questions that we all need to answer to ourselves first and then maybe we would not look at the world in the same way.
1. Is it more important to be educated or to have accurate knowledge?
2. Is English the only criteria to judge somebody's abilities?
3. Are we all becoming hypocrites?
4. Is it always good to be judgemental?
5. Is it fair enough to belittle someone who does not have fluency in English?
6. Is it good enough to discourage people who want to try?
7. How often do we Language Shame people and get away with it so easily?
8. Is India losing it's ethnicity?
9. Why do we feel a sense of shame within us to use our native languages?
10. If I wrote all of these questions in Hindi, would you still mind giving it a glance?
Think maybe?
