Department of Information Technology, Devang Patel Institute of Advance Technology and Research (DEPSTAR) had organized Parents - Teachers Meeting for 2nd semester students on 05th April 2025. The main purpose of the meet was to establish a common platform for faculties and parents with an aim to enrich the student’s educational experiences and discuss regarding the holistic development of students.

There was one-to-one interaction of parents with the counsellor faculties to discuss about the study pattern. Parents gave their valuable suggestions that can help in improvement of their wards. During this interaction student attendance and result was discussed with their parents.

Our most prior aim is to prepare students for a brighter future! 🚀 Department of Information Technology, DEPSTAR successfully organized Mock Interview Sessions on 29th March 2025 to help students build confidence, enhance communication skills, and get real-world interview experience.

With expert panelists and industry-relevant questions, students gained valuable insights into the interview process.

These sessions are a stepping stone towards career excellence! 💼🔥

We are proud to announce that our 6th Semester B.tech(IT) students Milan Bavishi, Ishwar Goswami and Krashna Patel along with their team member Krushna Parmar has secured 1st Prize 🏆 in the Odoo National Hackathon 2025! 🎉🚀

💡 Their project, Ecosattva, is a MERN-based platform that leverages Advanced Machine Learning for Carbon Footprint Calculation, aligning with sustainable tech solutions.

Congratulations to the team for securing 1st position in the Odoo National Hackathon 2025, winning an impressive prize of ₹75,000/-!

We, at DEPSTAR CHARUSAT are glad to share the glimpse of endowment chair activity entitled "Cloud Computing" under the Department of Information Technology held on 8th and 9th March, 2025 at Devang Patel Institute of Advance Technology and Research (DEPSTAR), CHARUSAT.

The event was a unique opportunity to delve into the world of Cloud Computing through the AWS Technical Deep Dive Workshop.

The Participants gained an invaluable knowledge and practical experience with key AWS services, enabling them to deploy a highly scalable and fault-tolerant web application.

We are thankful to wonderful expert Mr. Bhavesh Shah (Cloud Practice Lead at Intutive Cloud) for delivering the impactful sessions on various topics of AWS and Cloud Computing.

It is pleasure to share that our student, Samarth Otiya (21DCS061) has contributed in open source library named MapLibre which is used to draw maps in websites and mobile applications.

He identified two critical issues:
1. The heatmap was not calculating altitude with 3D Terrain data to produce correct projection matrix.
2. Rendering performance of map was little less, 3-4 ms.

He solved above two issues and achieve remarkable rendering performance to ~0.08 ms (~97% Improvement).

Moreover, MapLibre recognised his outstanding contributions with a $500 award!
