Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan – Essay Writing Competition
The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Unit and Student Welfare Committee of Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College, Channarayapatna, organized an Essay Writing Competition as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign) on 19th September 2026 at the College Lecture Hall, with 34 students actively participating and expressing their thoughts on the prevention of drug abuse and the importance of building a healthy, drug-free society.

Commerce Expo–2026: Prize Distribution Ceremony
Mr. G. V. Dinesh, Agriculture Officer, Nuggehalli, was the Chief Guest of the programme and distributed prizes to the winners. Prizes were awarded for three chart presentations and three models as part of the Commerce Expo.

Commerce Expo – 2026
The Department of Commerce organized a Commerce Expo on 17th September 2026 at the Library and Information Reading Room.

The expo was inaugurated by Dr. M. K. Manjunatha, Principal. Students showcased 51 chart presentations and 12 models, reflecting their creativity, knowledge, and practical understanding of commerce.

State-Level Gandhian Values Camp 2026

The NSS Unit-II of Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College participated in the State-Level Gandhian Values Camp – 2026, held from 5th September 2026 to 11th September 2026 at Government First Grade College, Didaga, Channarayapatna, for a period of seven days. A total of 12 NSS volunteers, comprising 5 women and 7 men, participated in the camp under the guidance of Mr. Bhaskara J., NSS Officer, Unit-II.

On 17th September 2026, during the morning prayer assembly, certificates were distributed to the participating NSS volunteers by the Principal, recognising their active participation and contribution to the camp. The ceremony encouraged students to uphold Gandhian values, social responsibility, and community service.

World Ozone Day – 2026 Debate Competition
The Department of Zoology organised a debate competition as part of the World Ozone Day – 2026 celebration on 16th September 2026 on the topic, “Development Should Not Be Achieved at the Expense of the Environment.” Four teams participated in the competition, with two teams speaking in favour and two against the topic.

On 17th September 2026, during the morning prayer assembly, prizes were distributed to the Best Speaker in Favour and the Best Speaker Against the topic. The prizes were presented by the Principal and the Head of the Department of Zoology, encouraging students to develop environmental awareness, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Educational Visit to ISRO & IAF on Wheels 🇮🇳

The 16 final-year students of the Department of Chemistry, led by Dr. B. N. Chandrashekar, HoD, visited the ISRO on Wheels and Indian Air Force on Wheels Science Exhibition at HKS International School on 08 September 2026. Students explored space science, Chandrayaan missions, aviation technology, cockpit systems, and career opportunities in ISRO and IAF. 🇮🇳🔬🚀
