*Arvind Thiagarajan | ECE,
The 'Accidental' Singer*
Inventor and Entrepreneur who was mentored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Sir. Today he’s the Founder, CEO & Chief Inventor of HD Medical in California, building an AI-powered cardiac platform that’s changing how we detect heart disease. By profession he saves hearts. By passion, he sings for them.
Music wasn’t his plan. As a child, his mother pushed him into Carnatic classes, but Arvind’s real love was Cricket and Volleyball. He’d rush through music lessons just to get back to the playground. Even in school and CEG, where he won 1st Prize two years in a row singing “En Kadhale” by A.R. Rahman, he never took singing seriously. He was a casual singer at best — sports was always first.
Everything changed in 2006. A horrific car-truck collision on a National Highway in Andhra Pradesh left him shaken and grateful to be alive. That accident made him pause and search for a deeper purpose. Soon after, he received the blessing of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi, who told him to start singing. From a “total zero” in devotional music, Arvind began learning bhajans and composing spiritual songs. What started casually became a calling.
He went on to compose 20 songs and release “Music is Sadhana”, a multi-faith album spreading unity and the message “Service to Man is Service to God”. In September 2009, he stood on stage in Puttaparthi before 10,000+ people and sang his mother’s composition “Amma Endral Anbe” in Desh raga as the final song of his concert. Since then he’s written songs on Jesus Christ, multi-faith philosophies, and is now working on two more albums — one on Namasankeerthana and another fusing Western beats with spiritual music in California.
His journey evolved from casual to accidental, spiritual, and finally purposeful. Through the H2H Foundation, he has enabled 42,000+ free heart surgeries for underprivileged children across 20+ countries and continues to support the cause through charity concerts.
From building AI that saves hearts to music that touches them, Arvind's story is a reminder that life's unexpected turns can become our greate
