Helios Rapid Studio | Learning Beyond the Classroom

An inspiring and enriching Rapid Studio for our Helios students came to a successful conclusion with sessions led by Ar. Chiranjive, Ar. Siroj, and Ar. Nuthana Manoharan.

Throughout the studio, students explored advanced digital design workflows from Rhino, Grasshopper, and Ladybug for computational design and environmental performance analysis to Revit documentation and presentation workflows. They gained hands-on experience in building modelling, climate-responsive design analysis, project documentation, drawing composition, and professional presentation standards.

The studio provided an excellent opportunity to learn from industry experts, strengthen technical skills, and understand how digital tools can be effectively integrated into the architectural design process. A heartfelt thank you to all our expert speakers for sharing their knowledge and inspiring the next generation of architects.

Design Café | Rapid Studio 2026

Rapid Studio is an intensive, short-duration learning experience that immerses students in a focused design challenge, encouraging creativity, collaboration, quick thinking, and hands-on exploration within a limited timeframe.

As part of their second year, the Hephaestus Batch was introduced to industry standard digital design tools, AutoCAD and SketchUp. The six-day workshop marked their first step into digital drafting, 3D modelling, and architectural visualization equipping them with essential software skills that will support their future design studios and professional practice.

This carousel captures the journey through each day of the studio from software demonstrations, drafting exercises, design discussions, and mentor interactions to collaborative learning sessions and the final exhibition showcasing the students' contemporary café design proposals.

A heartfelt thank you to our guest mentors Mr.Bharath, Ms. Sai Subhadra and Mr. Manikandan for sharing their expertise, inspiring our students, and guiding them throughout the workshop.
