சென்னை, தரமணியிலுள்ள மைய பலவகைத் தொழில்நுட்பக் கல்லூரி (Central Polytechnic College) நூற்றாண்டு விழா காணவுள்ளது. ஆங்கிலஆட்சியில் கிண்டி பொறியியல் கல்லூரியில் சர்வேயிங், பிளம்பிங் போன்ற தொழில் நுட்ப சர்டிபிகெட் பாடங்கள் ஆரம்பிக்கப் பட்டு, பின் பல பட்டயப் படிப்புக்களை உள்ளடக்கிய தனி பயிலகமாக ஆரம்பிக்கப் பட்ட இக் கல்லூரி ஆசியாவிலேயே பெரிய பாலிடெக்னிக் என்ற பெயருடன் சிறப்பாக இயங்கி பல்லாயிரக் கணக்கில் பொறியாளர்களை உருவாகியுள்ளது.
இக்கல்லூரியில் 25 ஆண்டுகள் ஆசிரியராய்ப் பணி புரிந்த பெருமை எனக்குண்டு.
இக்கல்லூரி ஆரம்பித்து 100 ஆண்டுகள் நிறைவு பெறுவதை ஒரு பெரும் விழாவாகக் கொண்டாட கல்லூரி முதல்வரும் ஆசிரியர்களும் விரும்புகிறார்கள்.
