SRM Student Copter Research Organisation is a zealous and vivacious organisation developing copters and their useful outreach under the auspices of SRM University, Chennai. It was established in August 2013 by two enthusiastic and dynamic students of SRM University, Sathappan G. under the able guidance of Asst Professor Vinoth Kumar. Dr. Muthamizhchelvan. C (Director E&T) and Dr. Narayana Rao (Director Research). SCRO started off with the two budding enthusiasts making an autonomous quad copter which in itself was a motivation, which gradually evolved as one of the leading research organisations of Chennai. The journey has been phenomenal where the team has grown to two mentors, six core members, few juniors and many interns, receiving continuous support from SRM University in all capacities. SCRO takes pride in winning various national level projects and conducting air shows in various universities along with extensive research work in the field of copters, continuously developing them suiting present needs. These achievements have gradually resulted in many government and private organisations crediting SCRO for their work and assigning projects for practical use in various capacities. We hope to continue our work with the same coherent aims and objectives and continue doing developments in this field to the best of our capacity.
