Adj Core at SMCPD 4!
Three Core Adjudicators weren’t enough for us. This is SMCPD 4 and fourth time is always a charm. On this note, we present to you Amritha Varshini, the fourth member on the Core Adjudication panel of SMCPD 4!
Amritha, a student at IIT Madras, has gained proficiency in all the spheres associated with Parliamentary Debate Tournaments. As an avid debater, she qualified at NALSAR IV (2012) as a quarterfinalist and placed 6th on Speaker tabs and 4th on Team tabs respectively and all this, while still pursuing studies as a 12th grader. In 2013, she developed her skills and was successful at emerging as a finalist at NALSAR IV while placing 9th on Speaker tabs. That year witnessed some more achievements for Amritha as she won SMCPD and finished as a semi-finalist at IITBPD. In both the tournaments, she was also one of the top ten Best Speakers. At VITDT in 2014, she qualified as a semifinalist and placed 2nd on Speaker tabs.
As an adjudicator, she secured a position on the Grand Finals Panel at IITMPD in 2014. Most recently, she was on the Core Adjudication panels of NALSAR IV’s 6th Edition and IITBPD in 2015.
With a thought of using her gift and imparting knowledge, Amritha was instrumental in coaching Team India that participated in AWSDC in Thailand where the team finished as semifinalists. She also trained India’s team for Singapore’s WSDC where the team emerged as Octo-finalists and broke 15th on tabs. Her contribution to the schools’ circuit is immeasurable.
With Amritha on board, get ready to witness the epitome of quality debate at SMCPD 4.
