Our research team Ocean Optics & Imaging Laboratory at Indian Institute of Technology Madras is seeking project associates to work on the following projects:

1. UAV-based hyperspectral observation and algorithm development for ocean color parameter retrieval.
2. Development of algorithms for detection and quantification of Micro/Macro plastics using UAV and satellite imagery.
3. Development of remote sensing models for Bio-luminescence observation using Satellite/UAV data.
4. LASER-based underwater optical wireless communication.

Qualification:
a) A Bachelor’s & Master’s degree holder in Engineering/Technology (Electrical/Electronics/Optics/Remote Sensing/Computer Science/Instrumentation/Civil/Geoinformatics) and M.Sc Physics with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10.0-point scale.
b) Programming knowledge in Python/MATLAB/C.

Salary:
a) Project Associate (B.E/B.Tech & M.Sc): Rs.25,000/Month.
b) Project Associate (M.E/M.Tech): Rs.30,000/Month.

Note: Based on your performance after 6 months, you can register for MS or Ph.D.
