From Classroom Concepts to Manufacturing Practices: Industrial Exposure at PMI Engineering Exports
Students of the Final Year Mechanical Engineering and ARE programmes, along with Third Year RAI students, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus, visited PMI Engineering Exports Pvt. Ltd., Tambaram, Chennai, on 19 September 2026 as part of an Industrial Visit.
The visit provided students with valuable practical exposure to manufacturing processes, industrial operations, and workplace practices, enabling them to gain a better understanding of how engineering concepts are applied in an industrial environment.
The interaction with the industry provided students with an opportunity to observe and understand the manufacturing ecosystem and professional practices followed in an industrial organization, thereby strengthening the connection between classroom learning and real-world engineering applications.
