The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Sciences, Saveetha College of Physiotherapy, conducted a UBA 2.0 Outreach Activity on Postnatal Recovery and Community-Based Women’s Health Rehabilitation Awareness at Molachur Village, Tamil Nadu, on 29th June 2026 in collaboration with UBA 2.0 Camp Tamil Nadu. Under the guidance of PG Shruthi M, along with UG students Shiva Harini, Mahalakshmi, and Manju, the program educated postpartum women on safe recovery after childbirth, pelvic floor health, posture correction, breastfeeding ergonomics, nutrition, and the importance of physiotherapy in restoring functional independence. Participants also received practical guidance on simple exercises, self-care strategies, and recognizing warning signs that require timely medical attention. The awareness camp benefited 10 women by empowering them with knowledge to improve their physical health, prevent postnatal complications, and enhance their quality of life. The initiative reflects the commitment of Saveetha College of Physiotherapy towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals) through community-based healthcare and health education.
