All the roads lead back to the teachers who believed in us. We’ve all had some teachers who taught us everything we know, some who always gave the best advice, some who patiently answered every question, and some who just listened— and that was enough. Today, we get to honour them in the way that they deserve.

Friendships are the family we chose to have, the bond we forge through memory, time and the tribulations of life. They say blood is thicker than water, but the quote reads: “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”— the relationships we make out of nothing but having liked another for fundamentally who they are is the beautiful alchemy we call friendship. Here’s an ode and poem, as litclub wishes you all a happy friendship day!
