Are you good at photgraphy then the FLASH OFF presented by ARTIFEX2K18 is a perfect platform to show case your talent.
ONLINE TOPIC: “SHADES OF LIFE”
Rules and Regulations:
1. All participants must have their college ID card.
2. The participants should show their entry slip to take part in final event.
The preliminary round will be an online event.
3. The pictures will be posted in our insta page.
4. The pics with the most number of likes will be given preference .
5. The pics with the most creative idea will be selected by the judges.
6. The selected contestants will be informed through a mail.
7. The participants are asked to send their picture (only one perparticipant) with their name, college name, department and insta id.
8. No watermarks are allowed.
9. The final round will be conducted on September 29th at SVCE campus.
10. Topics will be given at the moment for the final round.
11. Judges decision is final.
12. Participants selected for finals should bring the original size photo of what they have sent without any colour correction.

OPEN MIC (Just a minute) Just-A-Minute (JAM) is an all round fun event. Can you make it through sixty seconds of non-stop talking without hesitation, repetition, or deviation? Sand clock timer will be provided.
ROUND 1:
Topics will be given on spot, students are welcomed to speak on their respective ones. Few fun elements will be included in the topic. Use of profane language is not advisable.
ROUND 2:
Participants have to speak on their respective topics without any “hesitation, repetition and deviation”. Participants are asked to choose randomly from the given topics. .
JAM RULES:
✓ To object, slam the table and say “jam”. The JAM master decides whether you are allowed to put forth your objection.
✓ You get penalty if the competition objects on any of the following counts:
• You object out of turn.
• You shutter, stammer, wasting time “interspersing your talk with uhh, aahh, etc,….
• Early start and late start.
• Speaking too fast or too slow.
• Grammatical errors.
• Undue stress on words, undue emphasis in the sentences.
• Hesitation, repetition, deviation from the given topic.
✓ Total time is sixty seconds including time taken by all speakers.
✓ Points are given on every criteria.
✓ The person with maximum points at the end is the winner.

NERD STOP (Doodle quiz)
An event that takes you to back to your school life and also helps you to check knowledge in various streams
ROUND-1
• Each team will be facing one preliminary round.
• The team with highest score will be allowed for next stage.
• Only 15 questions for each round will be asked one with highest correct answers will be selected. questions will be asked commonly to all teams
• Only first team that gives correct answer will grab points.
• Questions can be from basic civil subjects or from general knowledge, sports, science, history,current affairs.
ROUND-2
• According to the number of teams available the no of teams will be divided into 2.
• In this round you will be answering 12 questions in which you can match the answers with the images displayed.
• This round is a buzzer round.
ROUND-3
• A box will be drawn and will be divided into 9 segments a car will be placed at the 5th segment.
• When a team answers a correct answer the car starts moving towards that team.
• Questions for each team will be asked separately if a team fails to answer correctly that question will be passed to opposite team and if that team answers the question the respective team will get 2 points i.e. the car will be moving towards them for two times.
• The team consecutively answering 5 questions correctly will be winning when other team fails to answer even 1
• If the car remains at the center at the end of 15 questions. There will be another question with buzzer.
• If both the teams fails to answer the question.
Rules and regulations:-
• Only 2-3 members are allowed to be in a team
• 2 life lines will be given (only at stage 3)
1. 50-50 (2 options will be eliminated)
2. Google it (only 30 sec will be given to Google)

An event helps you to master your thinking and investigating skills through a series of challenges with lots of fun and team work. Get ready for the most thrilling and challenging event.
ROUND 1:
The preliminary selection includes a short test of 5 mystery riddles! Based on the performance , 3 teams will be selected and qualified for the final round .
ROUND 2:
★ The qualified teams will be allowed to play this round.
★ Each team will be provided with different set of clues.
★ The clues will be based on a murder story or robbery.
★ The team which finds all the clues will be the winner.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
i. Everyone should bring their college ID cards.
ii. Decent dress code should be maintained.
iii. A team of 2-3 members.
iv. Hint consists of certain clues through which the progress should be.
V. Few tasks must be performed in order to find the next clue.
vi. Proximity of the hunt is within the given limit.
vii. Tampering or picking up more than one clue is strictly prohibited.
viii. Misbehaving with the volunteer and seeking help from outside the team may lead to team disqualification.
ix . Organizers have the authority to disqualify any team if the rules are found to be violated
Volunteer may be present at each stage of the event and will monitor your progress.

HUMANJENGA
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Players take turns removing one block at a time from a tower constructed of 54 blocks. Each block removed is then placed on top of the tower, creating a progressively taller and more unstable structure.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
ROUND 1:
A time period of 30 seconds will be given to the participants in which they have to build a tall structure with the help of jenga blocks. The participant with the tallest structure will get through to the 2nd round.
ROUND 2 :
A time period of 2 minutes will be awarded for the participants .The number of jenga blocks removed by the participants will be their score. If the structure fails or crumbles down the number of blocks removed by participant won’t be taken in account.
ROUND 3:
The top 5 participants with maximum number of points will proceed to round 3.Here they will be given human sized jenga blocks.
RULES :
▪Everyone should bring their college ID cards.
▪Decent professional dress code should be maintained.
▪Time should be maintained
▪Use of electronic gadgets during event is restricted.

BREAKING VLAD (Channel surfing)
An event helps in the creativity and talent .This challenges will be of lots of fun and team work.
ROUND 1: The team has to be on stage and the event coordinators will be showing them the picture of different channels and this channel will be changed at intervals and also the team performance should of at least 3minutes. The groups will be selected based on the performance.
ROUND 2:
​In this round the team will be given some characters name and some of daily use products they must sell the products according to the character given to them. In this round the best performed five teams will be selected and will be qualified for the last round.
ROUND 3:
​In this round the performance is about movie spoofing. The performing teams will be given some movie name and the team has to do spoof on the given movie .In this last round the winners will be selected.
Note: The one who rest in the round 1 from a team is eligible for round 3.

• This round consists of MCQ test with the time limit of 15 minutes.
• The MCQ will be based on basic questions in Auto CAD.

VULCAN’S CHALLENGE (Material challenge)
This event helps you to master your skills with construction materials through a series of challenges with lots of fun and team work. Gear up yourself for the most challenging event.
ROUND 1:
​Various instruments will be placed in (say50), each group will be given 2 mins to observe the instruments, after they come out of the lab, and they will be given 2 mins. The groups which write the maximum number of instruments they have observed will be qualified for the second round.
ROUND 2:
​One contestant from each team is eligible to this round. This round is similar to the round 1 comes along with the catch which is the participant will be blindfolded.
ROUND 3:
​A last man stands show. It is a rapid fire round where selected teams will be given information and they have to tell the material that related to the information. The team which consumes more than the given time will be eliminated. The last team surviving wins the contest.

A perfect platform to explore your creative skills & logical thinking to construct a bridge using sticks that endures the maximum load to given limited material.
MATERIALS PROVIDED:
➢ Balsa wood
➢ Ruler (30cm)
➢ Pencil
➢ Cutter
➢ Grid sheet
➢ Fevi kwik .
DESCRIPTION:
It consists of two rounds
1. Preliminary round
MCQ will be conducted and participants will be shortlisted based on the marks.

2. Model making
➢ Contestant who clears round one will be allowed to participate in round two.
➢ Each team should not have more than 4 members.
➢ No lamination at joints.
➢ No lamination of sheets (two similar members should not be glued one above another).
➢ The above materials are only allowed in the event and no spare materials will be provided.
➢ Members should not cut in breadthwise to make slenderer.
➢ Only length may be altered.
➢ The thickness of the member should be 4mm.
➢ It should be a determinate structure.
➢ Failure to comply with any of the previously mentioned rules leads to disqualification.
➢ Once the model is submitted for test, you are not allowed to modify your structure in anyway.
➢ The bridges should be modeled within the provided time.
