SRC - Student Research Council

SRC - Student Research Council The Student Research Council(SRC) is an initiative recognized by SRM University for young researchers to collaborate and present their research work.

Students and Faculty of SRM university have joined hands in an earnest attempt at making this university truly research driven. The SRC- Student Research Council is a platform for young researchers to collaborate and present their research work. The SRC will also provide a platform for students to gain experience managing a full scale research summit, the first of its kind at SRM University.

Experimental work needs validation 'or' sometimes we have to validate first for safety purpose. Modelling and simulations are our leading approaches. Need assistantship or want to learn modelling/simulation.
Register at: https://www.hyprsci.com/hyprcollab/research-assistance/

We provide assistant-ship in:
1) Fire Modelling
2) Evacuation Modelling
3) Computational Fluid Dynamics
4) Finite Element Modelling
5) Explosion and Dispersion Modelling
6) Structural Analysis
and many more

Now its our time to payback. Switching off electricity for an hour all round the earth, you can individually contribute to abating nearly 700 grams of Carbon Dioxide which is equivalent to driving a passenger vehicle for 9.76kms. Make your contribution. You can save the earth.

Dont forget to switch off your electricity on 28th Mar at 8.30 pm for an hour.

Music appears to be a part of human cultures around the world, but what happens to our brains when we listen to music is much less clear. A new study in PeerJ by scientists at the University of Helsinki in Finland have found that listening to Mozart's violin concert Nr 3, G-major, K.216, for 20 minutes caused significant changes in gene transcription in a variety of neural genes. In particular, the researchers found changes in genes involved in dopamine secretion and transport, synaptic neurotransmission, and learning and memory. One of the genes that was upregulated the most, synuclein-alpha, is known to influence Parkinson's risk and, in songbirds, song-learning ability. Other genes, such as those that mediate neurodegeneration, were down-regulated.
