The Society of Agricultural and Irrigation Engineers was established in the year 2008 and was inaugurated by Dr.M.S.Swaminathan ("Father of India's Green Revolution"), to serve as a platform for budding engineers to share their thoughts and come up with solutions to the problems facing Agriculture and Water Resources in India.
